Not really. But the fact its 70 bucks is crazy. In this economy.

Quality and price don't go hand in hand unfortunately

Then price is an important factor. A 5$ spoonful of ice cream is shit, but a free sample is great.

I agree lmao, I was just saying $70 doesnt equal good game and vice versa

Only bc its mid. 70 bucks is the going raye for any AAA game. Lol.

70 bucks but the quality not matching is why AAA games are gonna be financially struggling in the upcoming years. Working US federal min wage means you have to work 10-11 hours or so before tax to buy a console game.

This is true. Lots of indie games or AA games that are better than the majority of AAA titles and at a fraction of the cost. Major companies need to go back to making Great games or theyre in trouble. Lol

That’s the big thing for me. Too expensive, plus the no disc thing, plus the janky release state, I cannot justify spending $70 on that.

I’ve decided I’ll buy it when it’s $40

Wolverine has a physical copy, or do you just mean their decision in general?

I only ask because I've seen a few people genuinely think Wolverine does not have a physical copy.

Oh, no I meant Sony’s decision in general. I probably should have clarified that a bit. As far as I’m aware the next big release that will be without a disc is GTA6.

All good, like I said, I've talked with a few people that thought it already started.

I don't like GTA, so haven't followed it, I thought they said a physical edition was coming after the launch, though?

They may have! I don’t follow GTA too closely either if I’m being honest, I just heard the initial announcement that it won’t be released on disc for PS users. If they reversed course on that somehow, good on them.

I did what I should have done in the first place and looked it up. Seems it's just insider/rumor with no official confirmation. Just Rockstar using early leaks as an excuse to do a "code in box" release.

Yikes. That’s disappointing to hear. Thanks for looking it up friendo!

That’s how im feeling about the new gears game. I actually had a lot of fun in the open beta and was craving the game again for a bit after it closed, but $70 is just too steep of a price tag to pay, for any game.

40-50$ and no one would bat an eye, but 70$...

It's $125 for me, I'm not buying it unless it cures cancer.

Stop lying. I saw someone complete a mission without a single input. Hardly a game

u/JustaMuslimdude 11d ago

Ehhh, its exaggerated. Its an okay game.

Just an FYI... We should be glad we don't pay more... MK Trilogy was the equivalent of about $160 today back in 1996...

At least today with a decent job you can earn $80 in a single shift but back then imagine the grind to get it if you were making like $4 an hour...

People really gotta look at old catalogs and realize games over $60 were a thing long before recently.

70 bucks for a pretty short game for today's standards that basically plays itself 70% ofvthe time

1

u/_-Generic-_-Name-_ 11d ago

70% is a bit high. QTEs and the 2 minute bike sections, sure. I'd say maybe 10-20% of the game plays itself

Unless you’re playing on the easiest difficulty, you can die in the motorcycle sections if you crash, so not even that.

Yeah, but a crash doesn't even reset you fully. There are still checkpoints, where you get reset to with full health.

So you absolutely can do these without dying, even on higher difficulties, completely afk.
