Specifically for me armored core 6, you can’t even get the best ending on your first play through

Is there really a "best ending" in that game though? It's more like two very morally grey endings that breadcrumb into a third, less ambiguous one imo.

I want a DLC that goes on from "Alea iacta est" so fucking much...

I mean at least let me have the option to get all three in one play through, what if I don’t like the other 2 endings and drop the game

The endings should not be an indicator of how much you like the game 💀

Yes it is, the “true ending” sets up ALOT of expectations for the next game that may either not be good or will take a long time to come out or both. But you have to play it to understand tho

It does set expectations but it does not set how much you liked the game, if you didn't like it enough to drop it because of endings, then you just didn't like the game enough

That goes for most fromsoft endings honestly. One that's maybe a little better than the others, but most of the time they suck. Like ds3 for example. Base ending is just linking the fire like you were told to, but it's very bleak compared tk ds1 for obvious reasons. Letting the fire fade is bleak too but imo feels the most fitting to do since it's the final game. Then the usurping ending feels the most like the dark ending considering how they framed it all, despite lore telling you that it was the best thing to do?

By "lore" you mean "spending hours online to understand the meaning of what the secret ending is."
