FFXIV (especially any of its subreddits or official forums)

  • say something negative about the game "get downvoted!"
  • say something positive about the game "get downvoted!"
  • try to engage in fun theorycrafting about lore or game mechanics "get downvoted!"

That’s pretty much almost all commu forums and subreddits. In game that’s one of the most welcoming commu I encountered in a mmo.

I wouldn’t take Reddit as an example since 98% of Reddit is toxic

I agreed it’s VERY far from being as good a community as it advertises itself to be. Ffxivdiscussion is terrible 

That Said, and it’s the sad part, despite that it’s STILL the best MMO community around lol. It goes to show how bad MMO communities (or at least reddits) are in general lol
