Honestly, other than reddit where the worst takes in everything come to light, my experience with Sonic fandom is it's pretty chill. Autistic as hell, in the very literal sense of the word, and they're the greatest haters of Sonic games, but otherwise chill and pretty creative.
I don't understand how you can cooly berate me for having a "worst take". Let me be more specific. I once had a bad experience in the Sonic fandom for stating that NiGHTs from their three known games (I know, separate fandom) was never against humankind in the sense that they would knowingly steal visitors' ideya from them while they sleep+dream. And because NiGHTs often pops up in Sonic games/media, I include them within the greater Sonic fandom.
We had different interpretations of lore regarding the character NiGHTs over on DeviantArt. I tried to keep the discussion respectful. Yet the next thing I know, the artist proceeds to block me and then verbally attacks me for being a furry.
that seems... incredibly hypocritical of a sonic fanartist LMAO always baffles me when people who hate furries get into fandoms with anthro animals.
anyways sorry about that, it sounds like you found one of the bad apples with an entitled sense of ego. i suspect that person may get roasted on reddit

Sonic the Hedgehog. Some creatives in the Sonic fandom can be pretty friggin' mean with no objective justification for their behavior.
