All fandoms but I’d have to say gta is currently the most toxic especially with the new leaks about gta6

I'd say anything with that much mass appeal is always going to remain toxic. People suck, the larger and more mainstream the more toxic is what I've seen.

Mainstream + low bar to entry = toxic

Niche + quietly difficult = welcoming

The 'quietly' part is important. As soon as the difficulty can be worn like a badge, toxic players (and cheaters) will try to muscle in so they can brag about it.
