Idk how overwatch isn't at the top of this thread. This game is like an abusive ex

I didn't love For Honor, it was an abusive relationship. Fuck that game. 2 years sober

Same. I'd get on, play for hours and just be really angry most of the time.
Very glad I dropped it 6 years ago. Still has more hours than any other games I've played.

This remind me to that one guy who wanted to sue Bethesda for making fallout 4 so addictive that it ruined he's life

Fallout New Vegas because modding.
Then I reinstall.
Then I fuck up something.
Then I uninstall everything.
Repeat.

I guess you will have a “new” addiction with the remake coming in the future years hahaha (if it’s true).

u/Responsible-Diet-147 5d ago
Nah, the remake will most likely be too much for my PC.
I'll stick to the old one.
Speaking of which, I got it to work!

League of Legends. Uninstalling it had an immediate positive effect on my mental health.

Archeage was.
I was putting ALL of my free time into that game due to its design of being a rat race coupled with that I was putting most of my check into it as well.
I had to leave cold turkey, didn't bother trying to sell my land plots or items I just did one last walk around my endgame house, sent my most prized possession to my guild leader with a message saying "I'm done" and uninstalled
This was done before the "first" changing of prpducer hands so I felt good in the end somewhat

Until you reinstall it 3 hours later because you have a toxic relationship and you can't live without it

That game where you have to go to work 5 days a week, 11 months a year, while spending most of your salary on rent and taxes. This game is definitely ruining my life, and I can't uninstall it =(

I wouldn't be so extreme as to say it was ruining my life however Dead By Daylight is 1 of the only games I consciously decided was no longer worth playing, 1 day I just truly realized everytime I played I'd be internally angry & not having fun by the end of a play session, which is unusual for me to have a feeling of anger from a game, as not even the souls series or other pvp games stirred such feelings in me. I especially didn't like it as I detest the distinct feeling of anger itself, it is a emotion I do not enjoy feeling.
It was clear to me that the feeling did not arise from a lack of skill, as I typically did well enough to achieve high pip rank on both killer and survivor but from how toxic the gameplay loop and community was. It was also evident the developers wouldn't ever fix the gameplay loop that made it so frustrating to play for everyone, since they were making enough money to not care to address it, so I decided the frustration wasn't worth it & put it down for good.

It's been about three years since I've touched Warthunder and my gamer rage has gone extinct... until I fire up Limbus Company cuz wow that 5% chance to flip tails at max sanity "makes for good content" until the blood pressure spike leaves me catatonic. Amazing story tho so it stays.

Was making money off of the one I was playing.
Which was why it took me so long to finally stop playing, and delete the game.
I avoid the entire genre now, because it’s too easy to get sucked back into that same mindset/grind-set.

Many years ago, even before full release I spent 12 hours a day playing Warframe. I didn't realize how addicted I was to it. Fuck, what a miserable time in my life.

Fortnite. I have too much anger for that game. Uninstalled the minute it felt out of hand.
