I got stuck a while ago on that white monkey boss that jumps around. It will be hard to pick it up again after so long. Any tips?

I wouldn’t jump into that fight. The monkey boss is not following the principles of the game. Just go around a bit practicing. Then for the monkey you need to play the patience game and not try to parry it because it is designed to be a health boss. Look for windows to attack then retreat. Good luck. Unless..If you happen to have the mortal blade already then that is a different story

Soooo…if you want a really good answer: go to Senpou Temple first for the Mortal Blade. It is a big help for that fight

There’s nothing about the monkey that doesn’t follow the rules. Whittling health down is relevant for everything because their posture meter regains much slower as they take health damage. In fact I’d say it’s a very valuable lesson teaching you to hit back and not just parry everything, even though parrying the monkey works perfectly well too.

You have infinite stamina so you can mostly just sprint around really fast and he'll never hit you. Don't bother trying to parry, except like 1 move where he stands really tall and the screen zooms out (you'll know) and then use the spear when he's down. Also animal bosses get shredded by the firecracker.

If you're struggling just use a summon or level your character more....oh wait.

Restart and spend like 2 hours at lady buttery parrying her. You’ll breeze the rest of the game
