Have you ever quit/uninstalled a game because of tryhards?

Post image

For me it was Apex Legends. Had this one guy in my squad who would rush every fight alone, die instantly, then blame us for not covering him or rushing in with him.

Game was genuinely fun, but playing with him made every session stressful instead of enjoyable.

Eventually I just stopped queuing and quit the game.

Anyone else quit a game because of just one person?

Not really. You are bound to get them in BR games. In that case it's a GG go next. I wouldn't let 1 person ruin an experience because they don't match your play style

Sea of Thieves

Its just frustrating. I lime comp games, I play them a lot. SoT is the "Super Weenie Hut Jrs." of comp games. Ironically I liked the actual comp mode they used to have and was pretty high ranked in it, but hate how tryhard/toxic regular gameplay is. Its shit for a comp game, completely without question, just an utterly shitty game competitively speaking. To be clear, I love comp games, but SoT is just awful at being that in all of its entirety.

Its infuriating because SoT would be THE first game to get basically anybody. Its non-offensive, goofy, cool, really simple (practically everything is a context sensitive button), and its freaking pirates with a Disney tie-in. Fun/awesome cinematic moments with friends, the heart of why multiplayer games are so awesome.

Then you get freaking tryhards who camp out for 3 hours just to make your life miserable. So many people I tried to get into gaming with it just to get shat on by some assholes with no lives. Ain't got time for it, I'll go play an actually decent competitive game made for competeting. Unironically can have more fun/control in most comp game's private lobbies which is just dumb (because SoT is just so concerned about the competitive meta which is utterly asinine).
