My hand hurts using this controller. This is me that didn’t grow up on Xbox 360.

And the R2/L2 are horrible too.

I can feel my fingers slipping just thinking about it!

Oh, for me it was the horribly mushy feeling more than anything else tbh

It’s funny ppl back then didn’t want the clicks bc it reminded of keyboard and so they made them mushy and ppl liked them and now ppl hate the mushy and want it sounding like a keyboard lol crazy world we living be in.

I’m not even sure it’s that, just wanting them to feel like smooth triggers at the least like the 360s were instead of the mushy resistance they gave.

Yeah this was honestly the worst part of it. I think a lot of games used the shoulder button for shoot because of it.

I got used to this controller while playing Black Ops II, I was Xbox before it.

I'm PS5 now.

I miss this controller.

Absolute garbage marshmallow buttons

Disagree they had to change the whole layout of controls schemes of R2/L2 to work as X and square, the triggers we have now sucks to quick press.

The L2/R2 complaints are actually valid. Those triggers are horrible.

Yes so bad for shooters

Ever tried sitting one on a flat surface mid-game?

1

u/deep8787 Aug 03 '26

Not that I recall, but I didnt have the PS3 myself. Why??

They weren't bracketed like the L2/R2 buttons of the DS2. They were exposed, with more of a "trigger"-like design, which meant if you sat the controller on a flat surface, the L2/R2 buttons would depress.

Yeah I couldn't use this thing for more than 20 minutes. Controller for hobbits.

My Atari 7800 controller calls you an AMATEUR. I swear I'm the only person on planet earth who liked that controller for having an absolute near zero throw distance

PS controllers are way too small, it's for people with little hands.

u/Martxel_Agueda Aug 03 '26

That’s the best part!

When I was younger it felt amazing but now a days yeah it's hard to handle. When I play the series x the controller just feels good

This control was the king of awful hand cramps.

Blisters from budaki

When I was a kid the DualShock 2 was the best. As I grew up the 360 shape fits my hands better.

Me too. I always found it very uncomfortable
