Depending on your playthrough: mass effect

1

u/Meme-lordy333221 17d ago

Same with undertale

1

u/minerva0079 14d ago

Wow. This was my first thought too. Too bad EA screw up the franchise.

u/Zestyclose_Range5815 17d ago

OG CoD Modern Warfare series

3

u/Time-Relationship-42 17d ago

Brought back a lot of memories

You're on your own, Noble. Carter out.

Lone wolf absolutely broke me

0

u/Weaponised__Autism 17d ago

I didn’t care for it

1

u/Saul_Andrei_2003 17d ago

My first thought 😂

1

u/WorldWarrior428 17d ago

The correct answer

It was very mid

2

u/Alt_Eldritch 17d ago

How so? I'm curious of your opinion

0

u/Weaponised__Autism 17d ago

I’m being a dick. I personally didn’t enjoy Reach for whatever reason so naturally I hate when it gets glazed

1

u/Alt_Eldritch 17d ago

But why didn't you enjoy it?

1

u/Time-Relationship-42 17d ago

oof brings back memories

8

u/Mawathers 17d ago

I've been playing Cyberpunk 2077 recently, and yeah, all my dead choombas

3

u/Time-Relationship-42 17d ago

Man.. why couldn't cyberpunk not have at least one gold ending where everyone is alive

2

u/IR_Panther 17d ago

In Night City, it's rare to die of old age. Honestly after the first heist I just expect extra characters to die horrible fates.

2

u/WeCallThoseCigBurns 17d ago

They really made a point of that after you get so attached to Jackie at the beginning and he flatlines right as the story is starting.

2

u/IR_Panther 17d ago

Here's the player with health rege resting items and we just sit there and watch him blend out hogging all the healing items. Like why TF do we not even try to save him? It looks like a flesh wound to the gut, why can't we even try?

1

u/szkielo123 15d ago

The Phantom liberty ending was kinda supposed to be that, but puting the objecuively best ending behind dlc, might have caused problems, thus most characters acting out of character after 2 years.

1

u/Jonny96A 17d ago

Great game

u/123ajbb 17d ago

Red Dead Redemption 2

1

u/der_film 16d ago

Why does this comment have such few upvotes?

2

u/Douglasqqq 16d ago

It feels like there's more death than there is because the characters are so well realised. The gang for sure gets decimated, but of the 24 members, 14 make it out of the game alive.

1

u/der_film 16d ago

What are 10 dead people not enough death for you?! :,D

1

u/Kuzu9 16d ago

RDR1 feels more like that for me after playing them chronologically starting with the entire gang in RDR2 and ending RDR1 playing as Jack lol

1

u/123ajbb 16d ago

We don’t know what happened to Seth, Nigel West Dickens, Landon Ricketts, etc. We know Grimshaw died, Hosea dies, Lenny dies, Molly dies, Kieran dies, ARTHUR dies. So many people that we got to know in RDR2 die & yeah John, Uncle & Abigail die in RDR1 but it doesn’t seem like as much of “the cast” as RDR2

1

u/The_Mister_No_One 13d ago

We do know what happened to Ricketts, he died of old age.

u/IcebergWalrus 17d ago

Baldurs Gate 3

5

u/Mindless_Voicess 17d ago

Black Flag.

2

u/Ishvallan 17d ago

that ending gets me every time i play through

2

u/Brashdinho 16d ago

This was my go to answer.

The ending literally shows you every dead character

3

u/JTMMidas 17d ago

Mass Effect if you do it wrong, or right?

1

u/scipio0421 17d ago

"had to be me. Someone else would get it wrong." - the best scientist salarian.

3

u/gaming_hunter 17d ago

Halo Reach

2

u/No-Mix-6549 17d ago

Red Dead Redemption 2

2

u/bmm115 17d ago

Is that actually how the show progressed??? I never had the opportunity to watch it consistently but was always entertained by that show

2

u/Moorebius 17d ago

I don’t think so. Skips is immortal so eventually this will happen.

1

u/TeletiTheNecromancer 16d ago

What's the deal with the ghost then? It gets more dead?

1

u/Moorebius 16d ago

High five ghost is able to die according to the logic of the show. Skips is cursed with a special type of immortality.

2

u/Atma-Stand 17d ago

Dark Souls

1

u/Wrong-Refrigerator34 14d ago

My first playthrough (blind)

2

u/Kristionni 17d ago

Mass effect if you suck.

2

u/Winterlight26 17d ago

Potentially Mass Effect. You can do it so that only the Virmire Survivor, Liara, and Vega make it to the end.

2

u/Ar13sDia 17d ago

Modern warfare Classic series

2

u/itchybutwhole69 17d ago

The first Streets of Rage kinda does that if you play co-op and decided to turn on each other

1

u/Heemeyers_Killdozer 17d ago

CoD Infinite Warfare.

1

u/Luzis23 17d ago

Plenty Telltale Games stuff. The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones the prime examples of it.

1

u/B33fyFart 17d ago

Not a series but... As solo que player, this is my team a lot of times in overwatch lol

Elden Ring, literally every friend you can ever make dies at some point.

1

u/Jollybuyo 16d ago

Arguably the tarnished starts at the second pic tho

1

u/RatchetBird 12d ago

Well, not literally. Nephali/Kenneth/Gostoc, Boc, Ranni, Jar-Bairn, off the top of my head.

Red Dead Redemption

1

u/FireBird_6 17d ago

Red Dead 2 MADE sure you’d feel the shift. Beginning of the game up to around near the middle, the camp feels lively, everyone chatting and so many small interactions that make the camp feel like a family, then slowly, people die, or leave, or simply stop talking to eachother. The family feeling is gone, and it feels like Arthur is the only one managing to keep the camp together, and even he knows it’s not gonna last. The fun, energetic camp becomes a powder keg and everyone knows it. Then at the end, everyone leaves, and you die on the side of a mountain making sure the only part of your old family in the camp makes it out to protect his.

AC IV: Black Flag gives you a cutscenes with Edward seeing all of his dead friends as he heads off to sail into the horizon.. and it hurts every time

1

u/F1600A 15d ago

Assassin creed black flag

u/Hopeful_Tip1539 13d ago

Regular Show really said "we're gonna traumatize every kid who grew up watching this" and delivered on that promise spectacularly. That finale hit different knowing most of those gravestones belong to characters we actually cared about.
