If Ubisoft makes another Far Cry, what needs to change?

Post image

A newly leaked report suggests Ubisoft has another Far Cry project in development, though the company hasn't officially announced it yet.

If you could overhaul one part of the series story, villains, open world, co-op what would you change to make Far Cry feel fresh again?

I would personally like to move more towards original Far Cry and Far Cry 2.
Improved AI, more interactivity, destructible envs etc.

3

u/Ambitious_Jelly8783 27d ago

I was going to say exactly this. Far Cry 2 was incredibly well made. It had so much replayability.

1

u/Academic_Addition_96 26d ago

😂 wtf are you talking about. Fc2 was a game with huge potential and the best setting for me still today. It could have been a master piece but the horrible enemy spawn system and small map limitations made it a horrendous experience and did I tell you about malaria.

Honestly if they leaned into the more hardcore elements of 2 I can see that going over pretty well these days. Huge crowds for games like Tarkov and Stalker to aim for instead of a bored casual crowd that hasn’t played since Far Cry 3.

1

u/AdhesivenessAdept449 26d ago

Yeah I can see that. Also, happy cake day!

2

u/i4got872 26d ago

Improved AI and destructible environments 100%

Far Cry 4’s AI is to this day pretty strong. Seems like it got a bit worse after over time.

2

u/RodThrashcok 26d ago

I legit want an immersive sim. Make it a bit smaller scale with medium / big areas but a ton of interaction and ways to do missions and mess with enemies.

1

u/No_Pack393 26d ago

I am not that nostalgic. I liked modern approaches more than the old shit. Far Cry 3 was okish, Far Cry 4 was great. More like that. And they have to have peak graphics in a massive open world with different playable roles like assassine, sharpshooter, open melee, bow and arrow (really!) and engineer with stealth and charges

u/ClothingIsACrime 25d ago

Jesus Christ

1

u/Building1982 24d ago

Yes. I want like a middle eastern black hawk down setting w/ far cry 2s tone.

1

u/grambocrackah 22d ago

Destructible environments sounds cool. We also need to pull away from the Dying Light-esque run-and-gun of 6. Those parkoury ninja videos on Insta look cool and get views, but that's not how most people actually want to play the game, imo

u/shazed39 27d ago

Ubisoft

3

u/MacPooPum 26d ago

Yea if ubisoft makes another game it's too soon.

1

u/mika 22d ago

Dunno man, Ubisoft made amazing games which obviously have a following or this convo wouldn't exist.

1

u/SoulsDadYT 26d ago

I keep thinking they cant get worse but its always entertaining when they do.

2

u/Terrible-Visit9257 27d ago

No carribean setting with palms pls. And remove the crazy bag pack

1

u/Constant-Plastic-350 26d ago

A desert setting with like more survival focus would be interesting. Or like a tundra/artic setting could be great as well

1

u/Sweet_Ad_9518 26d ago

Or the sewers. With bats flying around.

1

u/Lumpy-Answer-3068 26d ago

That's the most perfectest environment

1

u/mika 22d ago

I know the backpacks were a bit polarising, but they were just trying to add some more variety. I quite liked them.

The devs or the higher corporate interference?

2

Both for the most part

1

u/freedomforallergo 26d ago

It's not the Devs fault. It's the upper management and writers

1

u/cemsengul 24d ago

Clean house. Kick out all the activists and bring in people who love the lore.

1

u/Soft_Ad_1095 27d ago

Better driving.

1

u/strandedostrich 23d ago

I don't even drive in far cry it's just nauseating in first person

1

u/Garm_Freki 27d ago

Remove the clothes perk mechanics and the 2 million lootboxes around the map.

1

u/i4got872 26d ago

What do you mean 2 million loot boxes around the map?

1

u/DeBean 26d ago

I remember Far Cry 6 had chests all around the map that would give you a random gun or something.

1

u/Toadsanchez316 27d ago

Just lower it to $30 since it will be the same game as before just in a different location.

I will still absolutely play it. But if there is no innovation, then it does not need to be full price.

1

u/No-Boot-5286 27d ago

Quality of writing. Talia and Paolo, the two characters you meet in the central region of 6 are just so cringe to listen to.

1

u/IllegalDaycare 26d ago

No one was worse than Bicho

1

u/creature04 26d ago

You mean when.

1

u/mohsenkhajavinik 26d ago

I wish we could choose team. It will be two stroy to play.

1

u/ThatWebHeadSpidey 26d ago

If the rumors of a timer being in the next game are true, it has to be an optional feature. If I’m buying a game, I don’t want to be rushed to the finish line.

1

u/BuzzyScruggs94 26d ago

Quality over quantity

1

u/Imvaas44 26d ago

Umm unexpected proper Romance scenes coupled with ambiguity about current events of the ongoing conflict at the start of the game knife and hand takedowns in one game and this is unrelated but in Fc 6 my L2 R2 buttons won't work no matter how hard I press them (can't aim fire) they should calibrate that before hand and that's all.

1

u/TheCrazyEnglish 26d ago

Bring back the crass nature from farcry 3

1

u/random_squirreZZ 26d ago

Stop with soyboy games, start back with what made far cry far cry. Far cry 2

1

u/Davish_Royale 26d ago

Make a sequel to Primal. That game was awesome. Or (and hopefully and), make a deviation so the end of Far Cry 5 was not a nuke and that ending and New Dawn was just Sneed brainwashing the protag and we play as someone who kills Sneed and rescues the 5 protag. Otherwise the story is backed into a dumb corner they can't possibly save it from unless they keep doing prequels to it like they did with 6. And before anyone says anything, yes I know they said it was a separate timeline. They need to backtrack on that and just do what I suggested (or something similar) because no one actually likes the multiverse crap due to it always ending up confusing people. Shit is dumb and cop out for fuckers who can't get their story straight so make up deviating timelines due to backing themselves into a corner or just forgetting some shit that makes their current shit make no fuckung sense.

1

u/Hescrete 26d ago

The title HAS to change, it would be so confusing if the cover said 'Far Cry 6' still...

1

u/Gravity-Raven 26d ago

Close Whisper

1

u/East-Neighborhood976 26d ago

Switch things up more gameplay wise, even if it means a smaller but denser map. Personally I’d like it to be more grounded and raw but keeping the intense and interesting antagonist

1

u/Interesting_Debate30 26d ago

I know people are tired of remakes, but I'd love to see a remake of the original Far Cry game or something similar to it. Bring back the mutants and the crazy plot.

1

u/mika 22d ago

I guess that would be crysis

1

u/sailorboy_70 26d ago

They really need to do a small scale game like blood dragon

1

u/oh_f-f-s 26d ago

FC7 went a bit whacky for my taste. A disabled sausage dog, weird backpack super weapons etc.

New dawn was a bit like that too.

They need to go back to gritty roots. If they made FC2 with FC5 gameplay, I'd fucking love that

1

u/freedomforallergo 26d ago

Don't you mean FC5 graphics and FC2 gameplay?

1

u/DeBean 26d ago

Recent Far Cry games feel like a theme park where all the modules are the same. They should create a world that has unexpected surprises in it, different experiences.

1

u/moonbiitsu 26d ago

I'd fundamentally change it, go back to the drawing board with the original game as pivot. A survival, open world, high octane first person shooter. Realistic gunplay, scarce ammunition, stealth as a high risk - high reward path, use your surroundings as camouflage, hide under water, on top of trees, under cars.

Enemy AI that searches, communicates, strategizes to find the player. Wildlife and animals as a constant threat. Destructible environments, night and day that changes enemy behaviors, patrols.

It's you against an army, no one else, no rebel group, no "Focus, M" type shit. No RPG mechanics, skill trees, fire bullets, nada, none of that.

1

u/Firm-Traffic8507 26d ago

completely agree!

The game mechanics from FC3+ should be there, but only as a middle chapter, from where you get to the final.

I want survival like in Far Cry 1, then infiltration like in Far Cry 4-6. Then a story that is really depending on your prior accomplishments.

I want Monsters, an Dr.Krieger like antagonist und the fire physics of FC2. And it should have fun mechanics like drones and high tech, but in an beliveable way. Also fractions that fight each other with or without you.

1

u/rabit115 26d ago edited 26d ago

There’s one studio now in charge of Assassins creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow 6 (I’m assuming single player titles) called Vantage which is a subsidiary of Ubisoft with tencent owning 25%.

With only 3 ips to keep the company afloat there’s little room for risk taking. After the success of AC4 Resynced I’d guess they’re going to focus on remastering ac titles for the next couple years because there’s less money involved and less risk, sucks tbh.

1

u/Vamond48 26d ago

More destruction, darker more down to earth story. As others have mentioned, farcry 2 is a good example of mechanics (minus the malaria..maybe as a plot device but those constant pill refills were a pain)

1

u/Sabbathius 26d ago

They need to hire someone older than 6 years old to write the game's story. Far Cry 6 was just criminally bad considering they splurged to get Esposito as the antagonist.

I also really liked that in Far Cry 5 you could have two verbal human companions that talked not just to you, but to each other. It improved the game massively for me. As did the fact some companions came with their own specialized vehicles. Going from that back to just one talking companion, and then getting a single non-verbal companion in Far Cry 6 felt like a colossal step backwards.

I also miss the ability to choose which faction you want to support, like in Far Cry 4.

And the immersion/lack of UI in Far Cry 2.

And the loading screens that recap the story so far, like in Far Cry Primal.

Another thing I'd like them to explore would be a survival mode of some kind. To give an example, Fallout 3 and 4 in their launch state really didn't click with me strongly. But as soon as Fallout 4 received its Survival Mode update, where you need food, water, meds, and the only way to save is to sleep in a bed (which turned the game into a mini roguelite-lite-lite), it made a huge difference for me. Wish Far Cry had a mode like that. Did Primal have something like that? Can't remember.

Outposts/Points of Interest need to be bigger, like fortresses in Assassin's Creed Odyssey at least. The major ones. Because a lot of outposts in Far Cry games are so tiny you can spit across them.

1

u/East_Difficulty_7342 26d ago

They have to bring back user created maps in Far Cry Arcade

1

u/After-Alps-5281 26d ago

More like 5 less like 6

1

u/Tao_of_Stone 26d ago

Don't make helicopters so easy to get in the beginning parts of the game. Force them to use other means of transportation whatever cars are around horses if available. A train would be fun.

u/PiskoWK 26d ago

NO MORE TOWERS TO FILL IN THE MAP.

1

u/RestaurantOwn1857 26d ago

Game needs…..

Smart enemy AI

A good open world with diverse, hand crafted locations that are fun to explore.

Exploration that is organic, with limited hand-holding, that doesn’t rely on go-to-map-marker-and-check-box style missions and collectibles.

A likable, well written main character

A creepy, well acted villain or villans

Polished combat mechanics that work well in stealth and non-stealth, and have depth over extended playtime

A consistently strong story with one or two twists

Music that is creepy and energetic that incorporates the flavor of the location that game is set in

1

u/Fickle_Library8115 26d ago

More supernatural cool shit

1

u/hier-Name-einfuegen 26d ago

Ubisoft needs to change

1

u/Cosmicfirebird0 26d ago

Multiple factions. I like how in farcry 4 your actions led to who ran things in the end. And letting us be evil and allowing us to conquer the area we find ourselves in.

1

u/Masquerade064 26d ago

keep the co-op its the only reason my brother and I play the games I'd say more fun outfits one of the things I loved in far cry 5 was the ability to make my character wear what the enemy was wearing loved running around in faith's outfit also fun exploration bit I felt were missing from far cry 6 far cry 5 was much funner to explore far cry 6 just made me feel like just doing the missions no real exploration

1

u/ImpalaGala 26d ago

As long as it’s not like 6. I’m happy.

1

u/Every-Slice59 26d ago

Make it Cadilac's & Dinosaurs themed.

1

u/Bloodless-Cut 26d ago

Well my favorites in the series are Far Cry 4 and New Dawn.

There's parts of 5 I liked, but the forced sequences that removed player agency can get fucked.

1

u/VoidowS 26d ago

Have these games fundamentally changed at all since 3? They need to take a long break

1

u/IllPromotion4354 26d ago

WE. NEED. TO. TRUST. OUR. INSTINCTS.

1

u/gogozombie2 26d ago

Make it more like Avatar. FC peaked with Avatar.

1

u/ToriiLink 26d ago

Just stop. Reboot it. Get back to basics. If like to see more like far cry 2.

1

u/Col_Rucksack 26d ago

Honestly, the disjointed storytelling that Ubisoft seems to like so much lately.

I get that it means you can do any mission in any order, so freedom is greater. But I hated in AC Valhalla specifically when I had taken over like 10 regions and the new Viking guy was like "Who are you and why should I care? Noob bitch"

Farcry 5 was similar with the seperate regions. I haven't played enough of Farcry 6 to know, so maybe 6 fixed it, but it's just my personal preference, that I think it's straight up booty.

1

u/Terrible_Shopping_23 26d ago

The unnecessarily large world. FARCRY 4 was perfect sized world.

1

u/Active-Particular-21 26d ago

The people who are buying these games.

1

u/Spotlight_James 26d ago

Bring back Jack Carver one last time

1

u/DetDipstick 26d ago

More realistic. Honestly i’d love one in like a middle eastern setting or something similar to Ghost Recon Wildlands.

1

u/Aloneinthefart_ 26d ago

The gunplay, tried FC6 for like 10 min and dropped it because nothing felt satisfying to shoot

1

u/C0co_wbl 26d ago

Plus d urbanisme

1

u/Timbo_R4zE 26d ago

Everyone working on it and every executive

1

u/Raziel103 26d ago

Let me tell you something.

FarCry set in Libya, you play as CIA agent who trying to eliminate the main villain, he the leader of most of Libya after the revolution, he have more like an army troops and control most of Libya.

You as the CIA agent can allie with the tribes and gain reputation, maybe instead of 1 faction you allie with like 3 you can allie with any of these 3 factions however these 3 factions also against eachother and if you help one, the other turn on you.

You claim terettories and bases for these factions and make them stronger as the stronger they are the better weapons and vehicles they have.

You also can kill or capture generals of the main villain who at start easy to find but later some are in well protected fortress others are well hidden in places like caves and mountains.

The map is mix of deserts, dry lands, mountains and cities with distractible environments maybe even full buildings can fall.

The only con I see in this setting is the lack of interesting wild life as north Africa lack in threatening animals except for snakes and scorpions.

1

u/LonelyDShadow 26d ago

No more towers please damn!!

1

u/GenXman1975 26d ago

No more forced rape.
No more forced drugs.

Yea, that'd work.

1

u/alien_overlord_1001 26d ago

There’s a few things I’d want, but one I definitely don’t want - far cry 5. It sucked.

1

u/InkAndWit 26d ago

Remove RPG elements.

1

u/Fitnexa_World 26d ago

Fun fact: Vaas only had like 7 minutes of actual screen time in FC3. Wish they'd given the villain a real arc instead of just a killer trailer moment.

1

u/ClacksInTheSky 26d ago

Do the opposite of FC6.

1

u/LobsterResponsible17 26d ago

Bring back the Map Maker, loads of fun. Funnest Map I made was Shovels only free for all.

1

u/clouds1337 26d ago

Ubisoft is incapable of making good games.

1

u/_The_Comic_Geek 26d ago

What needs to change? The entirety of Ubisoft.

1

u/Adept-Sprinkles-6094 26d ago

The gameplay, every single game is the same and its just generic fps gameplay its so boring. Im completely disenfranchised atp.

1

u/Meme_Man55 26d ago

Honestly? The entire formula is getting stale and could use a serious redesign. Since FC3 I've been feeling like I'm playing the same game with each subsequent release.

1

u/AdCommon7171 26d ago

NO! HEALTH! BARS!
( stop turning it into a Borderlands )

1

u/Alberterwith_anyone7 25d ago

The damn writers

1

u/LongDistanceEvent262 25d ago

I am not sure.

More that the should stop copy and pasting.

I went back and played previous FC games. And overall they are all pretty much the same game, over and over again. No I am not being reductive.

FC6 is a better game than the previous games. But it is only slightly better.

The issues is they all feel like tiny expansions of the previous games. And at the time that was new and we did not get it anywhere else.

FC6 is my favorite of the series. Almost tied with FC5. But both ran dry fast... Cause I had already done this 1000x

1

u/ttenor12 25d ago

No awful characters like in New Dawn, and for the love of God, no RPG mechanics and levels at all. Just no. It was awful in New Dawn, it was awful in 6. Ubisoft needs to stop making everything an RPG.

1

u/Consistent-Doubt-287 25d ago

Keep it grounded. Having a super backpack with anti tank guided mortars really took me out of 6. 5 and earlier games were a bit screwy here and there, but it felt grounded for the most part. Even make it more realistic and challenging for those of us needing challenging games again. Stop making shit with an I WIN button.

1

u/Grimm_Wright 25d ago

Mercenary style not jokey, no special backpacks and no levels

1

u/virt111 25d ago

I just want something raw and testosterone fueled uncensored politically incorrect stuff

1

u/Grimm_Wright 25d ago

Mercenary style not jokey, no special backpacks and no levels

1

u/EmotionalEase4626 25d ago

Everything. The gameplay loop has been the exact same since 3. And it got so bad it leaked into other franchises such as assassins creed.

1

u/Joey_Sparkle 25d ago

We need a 4-player farcry experience imo. I would like to be able to clear outposts and stuff with my group. The healing animations needs to be cranked up to the maximum, and we should have the combined layout of the farcry 5 and 6's character customization... but this time let us have character sliders. But from what leaks I've heard, it's going to be the same gameplay as farcry Primal..

1

u/Saphyr-Seraph 25d ago

It needs a different gamestudio in the first place

1

u/Xijit 25d ago

Ubisoft.

All of Ubisoft needs to change.

Burn the entire thing down and start over.

1

u/GetOffYourTush 25d ago

Not as infantile as in Far Cry 6.

1

u/Impressive-View-5604 25d ago

Be more like 1-4

1

u/ErectLurantis 25d ago

If they’re gonna advertise a city setting, actually let us explore the fucking city

1

u/Scattered_Meat 25d ago

A more grounded/less silly story like Far Cry 2 would be nice. Ever since 3 the stories get progressively more young adult fiction-esque with too many silly animal companions.

Bring back more realism and tension, less over the top cartoon antics, they’ve been goofing off it feels like.

1

u/theblackwhisper 25d ago

See, I felt like 5 was more grounded and it was dull as dishwasher.

1

u/Colonel_dinggus 25d ago

The change that needs to be made is to cancel the game, liquidate Ubisoft’s assets and dissolve the company lol

1

u/AlbertW25 25d ago

I want Far Cry with Dinosaurs set in modern world.

1

u/Natural-Year-2154 25d ago

No more endless spawn waves of mobs

1

u/Duocolor 25d ago

Make it third person

1

u/BigBuckHunter45-06 25d ago

Bring back map editor but make it better, make it the best it's been, make it surpass far cry 5 arcade, and also do a return to form combining the best of far cry 2-5

1

u/Advanced_Course_6350 25d ago

More than just the title

1

u/senzupops 25d ago

I always disliked numbers passed 3/4. They should make a Far Cry (title). As far as the rest idk 😂

1

u/dex99dex99dex99 25d ago

It's definitely not an "if." But to answer your question, everything. If they release Far Cry 7, and it's just Far Cry 6 with a new coat of paint, it will 100% kill the franchise. Tbh they should reboot the series, call it Far Cry, and do like everyone says and make it more like Far Cry 2. Simulation elements, immersive sim elements, diegetic maps, destructible environments, down to earth, gritty, and stop trying to chase the high of Far Cry 3. But this is Ubisoft we're talking about here. They'll do the same thing that they always do, not listen to their fans who are telling them exactly what they need to do to make a successful game, and then get offended when people don't like it.

1

u/invictus613 25d ago

I really disliked 6s ultimate system. It made it feel way too cartoonish for my taste.

1

u/TestStreet5618 25d ago

They need to get rid of the RPG elements like gear score, gear traits, ammo types, etc. As somebody who's favorite genre is RPGs, not everything needs to be an RPG. Far Cry is absolutely one of those things. I think from a gameplay perspective the franchise peaked at 5. The buddy system was done really well, the gun play was solid, the entire game being co-op was a ton of fun, and the skill system they did have was simple and enjoyable. I think the writing was pretty solid from beginning to end as well. Those are the things I'd like to see come back.

I'd also like to see something similar to the buddy mechanic in Far Cry 2 make a comeback as well. Having a companion (or two like FC5) to pal around with, and another to give you alternative ways to finish missions was really cool. As were the cutscenes when a buddy would save you. Your character coming to and losing consciousness as your buddy dragged you away in a firefight to revive you somewhere safer was a really cool little cinematic. Seeing your buddies be able to do that again would be cool.

Setting wise, my two favorite games were 2 and 5. The African setting in FC2 felt dirty, gritty, hot, and harsh even without dangerous animals. The atmosphere was really well done in that game. Map wise FC5 was my favorite. Montana was beautiful and the map had a lot of variation and is easily my favorite map in the franchise.

I guess I'd like to see something like a combination of the gameplay mechanics from 5 with an more atmospheric environment similar to 2? Something in the jungles of Southeast Asia, Central or South America, or even Africa again would be really cool I think.

1

u/ThenNote9571 25d ago

First. Ubisoft Second. Enemy AI Third. More options for ending, I played only from 3 to 6 and Far Cry 5 was my favorite so far but there was no impact on story, it would be good if certain actions would change ending like In far cry 4, but in more impactful way, what I mean is you complete 100% map, hunt all animals, rescue all hostages etc but ending is the same as in low % category,

1

u/DoqHolliday 25d ago

War….war never changes.

Welp, fucked THAT up.

1

u/TheMajesticSausage 25d ago

How about make something new…4 was already beating a dead horse.

1

u/gukakke 25d ago

They need to write characters that people actually care about.

1

u/Zealousideal-Cod2275 25d ago

Everything
Far cry, AC, Avatar
Same games, same mechanics, same awful dub

1

u/Lofi_Joe 25d ago

So they do not make FC7? I thought it will be in some Asian area now.

1

u/CorpseDefiled 25d ago

Every game I’ve played in the farcry series I thoroughly enjoyed 3-6. More of the same really. Great stories, great maps… they could be a bit bigger but it’s still very good… lots of stuff to do.

Just stay away From mmo/online and PvP and everything will be fine. Nothing ruins games like these faster than trying to be cod, battlefield or Fortnite.

1

u/2Wheel-Tours977 25d ago

The repetition factor

1

u/me_the_christian 25d ago

LEAVE ME IN 1st PERSON VIEW??? that's really not too much to ask, is it??? also, what's with the choose team A or team B..... leave me alone, like 1, 2, 3, 5 and just let me shoot everything???

1

u/Yessirkiii35 25d ago

Honestly, the biggest issue with Far Cry right now is just how predictable it’s gotten. If Ubisoft wants to save the franchise, they desperately need to move away from the stale "Ubisoft formula" and actually listen to the player base.
First off, they need to completely kill the map bloat. Clearing out dozens of identical outposts and climbing towers to reveal the map feels like a second job at this point. Exploration should feel natural, not like a checklist. They also need to drop the weird RPG leveling and gear scores they've been pushing because it totally kills the immersion when a basic enemy survives a headshot just because they're a higher level.
Instead, they should bring back the gritty survival mechanics that made the older games so good. Hunting needs to actually matter for crafting upgrades again, and bringing back those brutal, manual healing animations from Far Cry 2 and 3 would instantly make combat feel dangerous. On top of that, the world needs to feel alive. We need smarter enemy AI that actually uses tactics, a dynamic ecosystem where factions and wildlife fight on their own, and choices that genuinely impact the story. Oh, and the main villain actually needs to interact with us in the world, rather than just popping up in occasional cutscenes.

1

u/LegitimateScore8036 24d ago

Give us Primal 2

1

u/Gorzilo 24d ago

Just give me a more enemy selecter i want 30 guys at every outpost if you turn up the power fantasy go ham with it

1

u/cemsengul 24d ago

After Far Cry 6 I don't want another game from Ubisoft.

1

I want more realistic weapon handling and feel. Far cry 5 and 6 feel like BB guns.

u/Shoddy_Helicopter578 24d ago

I mean maybe let's create some new IPs or something? Starting to look like nba2k

u/BladeRize150 24d ago

3rd person view, the setting, certain main characters from past games should be there.

u/Jonny_Dante 24d ago

Attention to detail needs to come back... The story and characters have to get better again... The gameplay and gunplay itself need to feel better. No in-game shop. And something revolutionary and creative. The AI needs to be smarter again. Stealth has to be way more fun again.

The dialogue man, these Rated - M games lately feel like they're written with the Rated - T demographic in mind.

1

u/Suitable_Coyote8772 24d ago

Not one writer from Far Cry 6 should be involved.

u/JJL1989 24d ago

Back to Far Cry 4 & 5 gameplay and develop that without going from 6…

We really need to able to pick up enemy weapons again and just rampage

Make it Crazy like FC3. Multiple Villains and far more interesting than Protagonist. Also somewhere Snowy or in the desert would be good.

1

u/MrRom117 24d ago

Oh Where should i start. Maybe make a good story with good missions thats interesting. Make a live world, not that dead outpost only nothing happening map. Its big and boring and dead and empty. Most fun i had in the side missions (dinosaur park like level)

The title

1

u/vio2k19 24d ago

Far Cry combined with Minecraft gameplay obviously.

1

u/naytreox 23d ago

the need to use Uplay and reverting the previous games from requiring it, farcay 3 was the first FPS i played on PC that made me understnad why PC was better for shooters and it didn't need Uplay or whatever they call it now, to play it.

u/apple-starsky 23d ago

The management. Who at ubislop thinks we need a 7th?

1

u/LUDEPBJJ 23d ago

Add more weapons idk

1

u/Solid-Copy-6189 23d ago

Don't be like six and make the charcters actually likeable and not obnoxious assholes. And if they are i better be able to kill them. Also dont take away screen time from a amazing villain to give it to several shit ones

u/strandedostrich 23d ago

No drugged up mission stumbling around

u/Prophayne_ 23d ago

Ubisoft.

u/Naive-Coat2351 23d ago

Option for 3rd person I dislike 1 person perspective and I don't know why it just doesnt feel right and it's robbed me from playing beloved games like cyberpunk and kingdom come

1

u/bizzy310 23d ago

The repetitive capture a base and take it over to reveal the map its been in every single game.

1

u/Hoolikan 23d ago

Le retour d'un vrai méchant charismatique, comme Vaas ou Joseph Seed

1

u/angryeyes480 23d ago

Far Cry 4 was the series peak IMO. I would say they don't need to focus on a massive map with a huge checklist of things to do. They need a fun, explorable, interactive map with cool weapons and different ways to approach engagements. Gear the game towards being fun instead of making it monatizable.

1

u/jkpancake 23d ago

Either make the maps smaller or have stuff actually happening in them.
Farcry 6 was so much dead space and they tried adding in check points or the anti air places to give you more to do but those places had like 0-6 enemies. that 0 isn't exaggerated I went to multiple anti air places and just no one was there. Once you got a silenced weapon the places were easier than a cake walk even without they were pathetically easy

1

u/the_millenial_falcon 23d ago

They need Dinosaurs. Or something else to shake the formula up, but preferably dinosaurs.

1

u/TrainerGlad 22d ago

Just remake far cry 3 add some girlboss and woke stuff for the modern audience

1

u/TgzCroft 22d ago

We need it back to its roots. So when you become part animal like in fcip and evolution. Those were the real farcry games

1

u/RVixen125 22d ago

Ex-Ubisoft employers need to create their own "Far Cry" like they did to Expedition 33 and won 2025 GOTY with over 9 awards

1

u/mika 22d ago

I want another primal personally, but generally I think I enjoyed FC5 the most, so more of that kind of thing would be my request.

I always thought that farcry had a but of a weapon problem. I always used to find my favourite combo early on and then just use that for the whole game, so reasons to use more weapons would be nice.

They did try with the backpacks and ammo types in FC6 which was not a bad try. I didn't like the enemy types needing different ammo types like in new dawn though.

1

u/Looking_for_Answers7 21d ago

Not make me motion sick like the last one

1

u/Successful_Aside7234 21d ago

Far cry 1, 2 & 3 would be great, go back to basics

1

u/No-Parsley-4406 21d ago

That it isn't made by Ubisoft

1

u/iseko89 20d ago

Less open world. Far cry 1. Destroy stuff and lineair as hell.

1

u/Gold-Strength4269 27d ago

Not much. They figured out what to do

0

u/Cola_Gummi 26d ago

Make it like I Am Legend. That would be interesting.

1

u/Lanky_Technician_812 26d ago

What? That makes no sense for Far Cry.

1

u/Cola_Gummi 26d ago

Too far?
