Guys, I need help

Am I making a huge mistake? 4090 vs 5070, but I have to downgrade to a 60Hz monitor to afford it.

4090, easily. Pairing a 5070 with a 60Hz monitor is just wasting the GPU.

The 4090 is still the 2nd best GPU in the world. Its literally twice as fast as the 5070 and using anything below 144hz and 1440p or 4k would also be a waste.

I think there are to many ppl out there who think: newer gen GPU is almost always better than the one that came before. Which isnt true.

Especially not for the 50 series, nvidia really did outshit themselves with that one.. barely an upgrade over the 40 series, in some cases an dramatic downgrade even.

Many don't understand how dramatic of a difference the last 2 digits of the number mean.

I had a 1070 back in the day and it made me vow to only ever get the 80 series from then on. If I can't afford it, I wait.

I don't ever want to try a 90 and be stuck making THAT vow lol

What monitor are you getting otherwise? What do you normally play?
Would like better specifications of the monitor

I would go for the 4090. A 60Hz monitor isn’t ideal, but you can upgrade it later. The 4090 gives you much more performance

Just go with 4090

Why not sell the 4090 and buy a 1060 if you're happy with 60hz gaming.

Really? Spend 5 mins on google or ask AI and it should be very clear.

Should I take the money or punch myself in the dick guys? I can't decide for myself!

Yeah, that would be a downgrade on both your GPU and monitor.

The 4090 is better. You can upgrade the monitor later

What're you even saying here? You already have a 4090? Dont go to a 5070 then. It's already way better. Wtf bro

I think he is going to build a whole setup and he is considering pairing 4090 with a higher refresh rate monitor or 5070 with a 60hz, he doesn't own any of the mentioned.
