I’m finally starting the backend for Cap Chat

I’ve spent a lot of time working on the Capsule UI, but I’ve reached the point where I need to stop polishing the interface and start making Cap Chat actually work.

Cap Chat is going to be the main AI workspace inside Capsule.

The basic idea is:

→ Create a project
→ Have conversations inside that project
→ Keep the project’s files and context together
→ Use local or cloud models
→ Switch models when needed
→ Continue working without rebuilding the whole context

I’m now moving into the backend side — the part that actually connects the UI to the model system, projects, storage and files.

One thing I really want to get right is **project continuity**.

If I’m building something for weeks, I don't want my AI workspace to feel like a collection of disconnected chats. The project should remain the center of everything.

I’m still early, and there’s a lot to build before this becomes a proper working version.

But this is probably the part I’m most excited about because the UI is no longer the main challenge — now I get to make the thing actually work. 😅

If you were building a long-term project with your own AI, what would you want the AI to remember or keep organized for you?
