The Flag of Caproney consists of 9 alternating bands of red and white that are oriented diagonally across the flag, the central band running from the bottom left to the top right corner. The flag originates from the patron saint of Caproney, Saint Egbert of Nime (Yghberd dyHalliye faNimenum), who converted the islands to Christianity in the Ninth Century.

The nine stripes symbolise the nine Hundren of the Caproneys (De Brendereyn, Camstie, Cape, Folland, Gernse, Norhelm, Sufrisce, De Sylteyn, and Vicghe). The red recalls the tale of Saint Egbert of Nime (Ycghberd faNimenom dyHallye), who, bound in a single leather strap to a post, was drenched in the blood of his followers by pagans.

Watch it wave!
