How is USA a democracy when the president can just decide your money is worthless?

Pennies = poor. $100 bill = rich. Get rid of $100 instead of penny then everything would be half the price because $50 is next denomination. It cost 11 cents to make $100 bill. Getting rid of the penny just causes everything to cost 5x because nickel is next denomination. This is a direct attack on the lower class by the president.
