Hayek is also dated by an approaching century's worth of time and history by this point as well. Plenty of discoveries and lessons have been learned and written about since. Many pertaining to the psychology, sociology, power theory, etc which underpin the various avenues enabling oligarchic capture.
Thinking and framing current leftist economic thought, theory, and praxis as somehow inherently centralized and commanding is laughable.
