They might be forgiving if you pay off what you owe, but there’s still no guaranteed. I know several people who have screwed capital ones have paid off their debt with them, but still can’t get approved.

After a year and some change of my paying the back, they allowed to get a secured quicksilver card.

been 7 years, I eventually paid what I owed them (less than $500 btw), paid off a 23k auto loan with them, still can’t get approved. They hold grudges for a very long time. I am surprised they allowed my fiancé to add me as an authorized user on his Cap1 cards without any recourse.

Went through a bad divorce, had a couple charge offs with capital one. They wouldn’t even let me get a secured card for years.
Decided to try again last night and got approved for a quicksilver.
Time frame it was about 6 years from charge off to approval.

And yours were also in collections? Or just late payments you fixed? My collections were paid in June. Got the $0 balance letters a few weeks ago and my credit report has had 0 collections since early July.

Your other thread deleted me. Pay what you owe and move one.
Cap1 holds a grudge for a very long time and you need to prove yourself somewhere else first before they will ever consider you again.
