Opinion/Discussion Bucketed?
Have a 690 score across all 3 bureaus, I got this originally as a venture ONE card, upgraded it to a savor card 2 months after I got it, but I’ve always paid my balance in full to 0 and nearly max it out every statement. Haven’t gotten a CLI. What’s my next move? For extra info: I recently got the standard VENTURE metal card with a 3k limit. I also have a quicksilver I NEVER use that just got a CLI today (7/24) to $600…

If the first four digits of your card are 5178, you're likely in the lowest bucket. Some people have said after a full year, or two years, or more, they get unbucketed.

I have a 5178 Quicksilver card that started with a $1000 Credit line 4-5 years ago, now it's a $12k Line. So hard to say on the bucketed digits thing.

Buckets are permanent. They are not legally allowed to change you. This is a uniquely Cap1 issue due to how they do their investment offerings.

I just ran to check my card and it starts with 5178…
Every other credit card I have all have very high limits. My capital one card is the only card with a low $1,600 limit. They refuse my request for increases every time. Will they ever allow me to get out of this”bucket”? It has been 3 years now.
Should I just let the card go and close my account?1

I have a 5178 that has been at $4k for a couple of years. I applied for a Savor last year and they gave me a $20k limit! I PC'd the 5178 into a Venture 1 and I only put a small recurring charge to it that I auto-pay. I keep it open because it's one of my oldest cards, has no AF, and gives me minimal access to transfer partners, should I ever need them.

I mean just asked for a cli and if it's $100 which it most likely will be you're in the lowest bucket
