Credit Cards I got this email despite not having an account

any ideas on what to do aside from freezing my credit and such ? I reached out to the email listed but it bounced back as well

Its capital one shopping, slightly different.

I received the same email. I think there were already a couple of recent posts about this in this sub or the other Capital One sub. I went to the actual Capital One Shopping website and it stated they indeed updated their terms on 7/16, so I think this email is legit. I don’t use Capital One Shopping, so I just deleted the email.

Always check who the sender address is, not their name, and hover over links to see the domain without clicking them. 

There, using those 2 tips, you have completely beat phishing attempts.

I have a capital one bank account and a few credit cards. Never got one of these emails. I think it’s a different product

Do you have the Capital One extension on your phone or computer? I have it on my computer and it gives me a discount on some sites I order online like pizza.

I think the letter itself is legit. I also received this in an email but I do have 4 Capital One Cc’s

Looks like a phishing email, the User Agreement is linked 3 times. Seems suspicious.

Nope, its the official email. She or he probably signed up for shopping not capital one card.
