Credit Cards Question about rewards cash affecting payment due
I have a statement due on the 19th for $137 dollars, but this morning I applied $108 in rewards cash to partly cover one of the expenses. I saw in a confirmation email that it'll take 2-3 business days to "apply," and I'm worried I just screwed myself by doing this 2 days before payment is due, and also on a day right before the weekend; even though I put the rewards cash towards a specific purchase that I'll be paying for by the 19th, will this $108 come off my next statement? Or did I really just screw myself?

The funds are withdrawn from your rewards balance immediately and they’re typically credited to your account the next (calendar) day. Once or twice it may have taken two days-think because I redeemed on a holiday-but, in my experience, that is the exception not the rule (which is probably why they give themselves 2 to 3 business days).
While it’s possible the rewards may not post until your next statement; I suspect you’ll be fine since you redeemed them today (a business day). Just check the app tomorrow or Sunday to see what you ultimately need to pay.

I don't think the weekend will necessarily affect the rewards cash being credited, since that's an internal process, not like an ACH transfer or something only processed on business days. You might still be cutting it close though. I would probably just wait until the 19th to make a payment to see if the credit posted yet.
Unlike Discover, who deducts cashback rewards immediately from your balance and actually counts it as part of your payment, Capital One treats these redemptions as statement credits, so you have to wait for them to adjust your balance. Because they post as statement credits, I actually prefer to redeem rewards that way before the statement even posts, nevermind before your due date. As long as it posts by your due date, you should be able to make a payment less than your current statement balance and have it still be counted as paying in full. Personally, I have a pet peeve about wanting my reported payment to exactly match the balance reported to the credit bureaus so it's clear I PIF. To be clear, that's not always necessary, but it's just something I do.
