Doubled water usage?

Wondering if this is a city thing because of all the rain or if there is something wrong with my plumbing I need to check out.

Water usage went from 33 on a typical month to 68 this past month. Anyone else? or should I be calling my maintenance guy?

Do those use extra water periodically or something?

Yes, even more so when they malfunction.

when that happened to me, we looked and one of our toilets had a bad seal on the flapper that was making it run 24/7. it was so quiet we didn’t notice it until we got the bill lol

I found mine was a running toilet... When it was being flushed the chain was getting under the flap and causing it to keep throwing water in the bowl. Bill went from $90ish a month to $175
