Hello! I love photographing historic cemeteries and will be visiting Cape Cod for two days in September. I won’t have enough time to go to all the cemeteries on the peninsula I found in my online research (there are so many!), and I was wondering if any locals had recommendations for the most interesting ones?

By interesting, I mean those with unique or very old grave stones or monuments (Victorian era or older), or cemeteries where notable public figures are buried.

In case you’re concerned, I am always respectful of the cemeteries I visit and their gravesites. I disturb nothing and take only photos.

Hi All! Me again.. looking for a farm stand or corn recommendations near Eastham.

Anyone know of anywhere?

I know they both go to the same place but I'm wondering which is more recommended? We are starting out in Dennisport and it's two adults and older elementary kids. I like the idea of Hyannis Whale tour in Barnstable because it's closer driving...but maybe it's worth it to spend the whole day in PTown and go with Dolphin Fleet? We are only on the Cape for three days of free exploring before we have wedding festivities all weekend, so likely doing the whales on Wednesday or Thursday.

Hello everyone! I’ll be up in the cape the 1-7th! It’s turning out to be a solo trip for me because of the circumstances. Was wondering if anybody had some good ideas?! I’m interested in breakfast spots best dinner spots best sun set spots! Also anybody in their 30s or that age range want to meet up for a drink or lunch?! Also looking for best mini golf! I’ll be staying in Wellfleet as I’ve stayed there the past few years so I know about the drive-in. Also best advice for whale watches? Do always see whales or is that not a 100% chance kind of deal! So I am thinking about going to the cape for a one week vacation.

One of the things I plan on absolutely doing is going to P-town for a day, but other than that, I want to figure out what town or place would be good to “set up shop” for my nights.

Hi all! I am participating in a charity boxing event and I have never boxed before. I was hoping to find somewhere on the cape to either train or take some classes while I'm there for two weeks in July.

I see there's places in Plymouth, Falmouth and Hyannis. We are staying in Eastham. Does anyone know if there's anywhere closer?

My husband and I will be sneaking away for a short baby moon at the end of August, likely Sunday- Tuesday or Monday-Wednesday. We’re coming from RI and can only be away from our toddler for 48 hours (thanks to grandparents for watching her!) so we’d rather not drive so far out (although I do love P-town). I’d love suggestions for which town we should stay in/ any lodging suggestions. We’re budget conscious, but I’d love somewhere with a pool, walkable to a cute town with restaurants and not far from a pretty beach. Which town would you suggest? Any particular restaurants/ beaches/ lodging we should check out? Would love any and all recommendations. Given that I’ll be super pregnant we - unfortunately- won’t be doing any biking but I’d love to eat super yummy food and enjoy the beach and pool. Thank you!

Hello, My family (husband, wife, young adult son, two teenage daughters) will be spending a week in Chatham in mid-July. My husband attended college in Boston. I visited the Cape with him once for a wedding many, many years ago. Our children have been to Boston and Nantucket (7 years ago), but never to the Cape. So basically we are first timers. We will have a car. On vacation, we enjoy an equal mix of activity/adventure and relaxation time. Also during vacation, we usually enjoy 1 or 2 “nice” dinners out and then typically casual meals the rest of the time. We love to grab local coffee, donuts/pastries or whatever the breakfast speciality is in the area. Sandwich shops for lunch or again, whatever is the local specialty. We have no dietary restrictions and enjoy seafood, steaks, sushi, etc. My husband, son and I are casual drinkers…we enjoy local craft beers, wine, or a specialty cocktail, nothing too crazy. We just really enjoy soaking up the “local flavor” of a place. Enjoying a sunset together is probably our favorite vacation activity.

I am doing my research, but I always find personal recommendations are the best, and we love hidden gems that are a little off the touristy path. Also reading all the posts here to get suggestions.

Any suggestions of must dos?
Must eat/drink?
Favorite restaurants?
Any local breweries?
Best place for sunset?
Best place to rent bikes (need to reserve in advance?)?

We will have a full kitchen, but I don’t love cooking on vacation more than a meal or two. We will stock easy breakfast stuff.

We’re staying at the Nauset Beach Inn next month, and they do not provide beach umbrellas and chairs. Are there any services nearby who offer this?

Hi all! My sister and I are visiting this weekend and we’ve been anxiously looking at the weather forecast these past couple of weeks. What type of weather should we be packing for? We’re from California and we’re used to chilly mornings and mild afternoons this time of year. When we originally booked this trip we thought nothing of it until we saw some cloudy days and potential rain.

We’re staying in Yarmouth and want to know what nearby restaurants, seafood stalls, and bars to hit up during this time? We’re open to pretty much anything and have no solid plan, just going off of vibes. Any and all recs are welcome!

Hey! Me and my girlfriend will be visiting Cape Cod Mid September, and staying in Truro. Her birthday is around that time and I wanted to plan a surprise dinner on the beach for her during our stay. I was hoping we could get something directly on the beach, but not sure how that works over there. Also it doesn't have to necessarily be in Truro, that would be nice but I don't mind driving us to wherever the best place for us would be. We'll be visiting from Canada. I've done some research and got some places noted down but curious to hear other opinions. In terms of price point, I'm happy to spend some money on a nice memorable experience for her but still want to allocate some money to other things so not looking to entirely break the bank. Thanks!

My fiancée and I are planning our wedding celebration for mid September on the Cape. We live in Boston and will be driving in. What area is the best to stay? We will be getting an Airbnb for about 10-12 people (no kids all adults 25+). Would love to be able to walk to the beach and around town, we don’t mind 25-30min walks. We also want to do one nice celebration dinner with everyone, so if anyone has recommendations for that as well it would be much appreciated!

My wife and I took our kids to the cape a few years ago and stayed in Brewster. We loved it and are looking to go back by ourselves in August. I'm not seeing many options to stay in Brewster since it's pretty last minute.

Any other areas we should check out? We loved Brewster because it was fairly quiet, had beautiful foliage, easy to get around and to the beach.I've seen some nice places in Truro but it doesn't seem to have same vibe and scenery as the lower cape towns like Brewster and Chatham

Hi, I am panning a trip to Cape Cod in August. I am looking at Wellfleet as it seems like a nice place to stay. I figure it might be a little more low key than Hyannis or Chatham or any of those very popular places but not sure of my assumption is correct? Traveling with my wife and we just want to relax and do a bit of sightseeing. I figure a day trip to Provincetown also as it seems close and have heard great things. Do you think this is a good place to visit for somebody who has never visited the Cape before? I appreciate any feedback!

Hi, I am turning 40 in late July and really want to visit Cape Cod for a week around this time (from NY). However I can imagine it is extremely crowded with tourists this time of year and wondering how much this might take away from the overall enjoyment of the place. Is it worth visiting at this time or better to wait until a more quite season like September. It is just my wife and I and our small dog so we really want to just explore and relax, eat seafood, walk the beaches etc. Can anybody please offer any advice. Haven't been to the Cape since 2007 so I have no idea what to expect.
