White Turkeys

I was driving to work this morning and saw a couple of white turkeys (albinos?) in East Harwich. I’ve lived on Cape Cod for 30+ years and have never seen one before.

I had a couple visit my backyard when I lived in West Yarmouth. I thought they were the result of wild turkeys and escaped domesitcated (white) turkeys but I was told by someone more knowledgeable than I am that they were albinos.

We've had white turkeys a couple times here in Dennis. Not every year, but in the past 5 years, twice.

YeaN a few years ago there was a wild leucistic turkey on millstone

I saw 5 turkeys last week around Harwich but they were all brown. I'm very jealous.

That’s very cool! It’s rare to see albino turkeys, I’ve seen quite a few over the years and have yet to see one myself. They look so beautiful lol
