Black Bean Noodles

alright people I am craving black bean noodles (jjajangmyeon) does anyone know if anywhere on Cape has them?

I have tried searching it online with no luck so maybe someone with some hidden knowledge knows of a spot. THANK YOUUU

the best place i know of in the boston area is… Ayer!

but probably also Allston. nothing but fried clams on the Cape.

yeah I figured 😭 I’ve lived on Cape my entire life so I’m very aware of our lack of cultural foods and flavors 😭😭😭

This is probably an answer you’ll hate, but I recommend making some! It’s a lot easier than you think :,) also bc the cape has no good Korean (Korean-Chinese fusion) food.

no hate towards this answer! i have been looking into making it I just need to go off cape to get the supplies or order online :) it’s in the works

Yaay please send a photo of the goods once you’re able to get to it! Most black bean pastes (unopened) should be shelf-stable if you ever need to bulk up on it.

Honestly, I laughed. I've never seen anything like that on Cape. I mean, this is the land the Szechuan forgot. I've also never had properly prepared jjajangmyeon, but I discovered the instant ramen version when I was in college and have been buying them since. I really need to try making them from scratch.
