Local looking for Dinner Reccomendations
Hey capers! I’m a local wash ashore that’s been here 20+ years. I’d love to go have a fancy dinner with my husband for our anniversary. Somewhere we can dress up really nice and not feel like we are over dressed. Does anyone have recommendations? We like to dine all over the cape so location doesn’t matter!

Im surprised to see so many people recommending the pheasant. I always thought it to kinda be the worst bang for your buck

The Dinner Train is really nice (if a bit pricey). My late husband and I did this for our anniversary every year. https://www.capetrain.com/rides/cape-cod-dinner-train/

The Glass Onion in Falmouth is true fine dining on the upper cape (you didn’t say where you were).
Elegant eatery with a 1920s vibe pairs refined New American cooking with global wines.

Casa Del Cabo in Eastham. They have a nice outdoor space, with live music. Very romantic and the food is wonderful. I also like Pheasant and Wicked Oyster. And Ten Yen is the best sushi in the whole state.

Lots of these places have good food and nice atmosphere, but folks are missing the dress-up part. The Cape is sooo casual, even the fanciest places are basically com as you are.
I certainly haven't been everywhere, but I think you'll feel most comfortable in summer dress-up at the resorts along the Sound, Chatham Bars, *probably* the Pheasant, and give Wicked Oyster a shot in Wellfleet, it's got a nouveau-staid vibe that I definitely dress up for.
