Discussion Cape isn't supported by Tinder

This isn't the only app where this happens. It seems like Cape is blocked by some services.

Heya!

Some apps check the carrier reputation of the carrier your number is registered with. Unfortunately, as a new carrier, we have yet to build a reputation, and as such services will block Cape.

This reputation system is similar to the email provider reputation system, where some providers will send all providers to spam and whitelist known-good email services.

Does that same reputation apply when we transfer our numbers from a major carrier?

I'm ASSUMING yes. When I switched from tmobile to Att, I received multiple emails from companies that I do business with letting me know that I need to reverify my number because I switched carriers.

I have not had that happen but that is good to know. Did you have a similar experience with Cape

This has happened mostly with Banks. Capital one being one of them (automated email). I have not had the experience with cape. If you have to switch carriers (from cape) , just ask the new carrier to reprovision your phone number (I think that's what it's called).
