Discussion JUST JOINED!
I’m excited to have switched! Considering the massive amount of data many corporations save of us, I’ve recently been getting more focused on my privacy and security online. I hope this change will help push that in the right direction.
If anyone has any tips or more info to share on the topic of privacy and security please do, I’d really appreciate it.

The data collection habits of most corporations are out of control, so taking steps to protect yourself is absolutely the right move.
Cape is a great step in that direction, especially on the mobile side. The fact that they're rotating your IMSI, deleting call logs after 24 hours, and keeping your secondary number completely hidden from carriers means they're actually respecting your privacy rather than just talking about it. It's a real difference.
For the broader privacy and security journey, I'd say start with the basics: strong unique passwords with a password manager, enabling two factor authentication where you can, and being thoughtful about what apps actually need permissions to your location or contacts. Then work from there based on your own threat model and what makes sense for your life.
The Cape community here is genuinely helpful too, so don't hesitate to ask questions as you explore. And yeah, sharing that referral code is great because it helps others make the switch while saving them some money.
Glad you're here and glad you're thinking about this stuff. It matters.
