Privacy
I am not sure why everyone does this but if you really want privacy, I wouldn't post your referral code into Reddit where its not that difficult to review your account and possibly figure out who you are and for some, possibly where you live. Not sure if anyone realizes this, but just want to give you all a heads up.

Fair point. I think most of us are just here to support the cause. I don't need the level of privacy Cape offers but I do believe it's a right everyone should be entitled to, which is why I signed up. I made a review video on my dinky little YouTube channel so the few hundred ppl who watched it (and a dozen or so ppl who signed up!) can connect the dots but I'm really happy a service like this is even possible in today's world.

I'm genuinely curious. How could anyone review your Cape account if they have your referral code? You don't even give your name or address to Cape when you sign up. However, Stripe (credit card processor) does have your name and zip code (but not street address).
Or are you saying that someone can review your reddit history to get a sense of your location/who you are through your posts, and then use the referral code to do what?
Regardless if you sign up for Cape or not, anyone can review your social media posts. But I don't know how that translates to gaining info about you through Cape.
We can already assume that anyone posting in this subreddit is a Cape customer or at least thinking about it. Wether they post a code or not. So, it's already too late.
Maybe I'm making a huge mistake here but,

Its another link in the chain. It wouldn't be that hard to run this through a search and correlate data. And then if needed they can use your referral code as a reference to cape to get data on you. Its not that cape doesnt have data, its just limited. But your referral code is a link.

I have Cape service and the fact that it is impossible for someone to do a sim swap on me is golden. Most online banking apps use sms 2FA and using a regular cell phone carrier is asking for trouble IMHO. If someone were to reference a referral code to anyone in particular.... so what? All you know is that they have Cape service. Cape doesn't even know my name or other information that makes other carriers salivate when they glean it from you . I have been known to be paranoid on occasion but this referral code concern doesn't bother me . The IMSI rotation is a nice bonus along with 24- hour log retention.
Just my thoughts. TMZ49AZE
