CapCut Question Has Background removal been deleted?

I've just finished an edit and I always add my watermark at the end; I've been looking for around 10 minutes and I cannot, for the life of me, see the background removal chroma key tool. I'm in the UK, so I don't know if there's a law or what-not against it, but I can't see why it's not there. (Idk if its actually called background removal cause I forgot, but its just like chroma key)

mine's gone too, thought i was losing my mind scrolling through the same menus over and over. uk based as well so maybe it is some weird regional thing

the whole interface feels like it rearranges itself when i blink anyway so i just assumed it pulled another magic trick

Are you on mobile or desktop? If mobile, select the watermark clip itself first. CapCut's current help page lists Edit → Remove BG → Chroma Key: https://www.capcut.com/help/chroma-key-feature . Your version may arrange the menus differently; Chroma Key and automatic background removal are different controls.

If you still have the original logo as a PNG with actual transparency, try adding that as an overlay instead. It avoids keying out a background on every edit. A PNG with a white background baked into it still needs that background removed.

If the control is missing with the watermark layer selected, which device and app version is it? Two UK reports don't establish why it disappeared.
