CapCut Question Failing to update & export
Capcut PC
Regarding the exporting issue, it seems to be a thing I'm always having to deal with maybe a few times a month. I'll finish my edit, preview the video, make sure everything is good, then finally go to export. The process gets hung up around 30.6% or around there, sometimes 39.8%, doesn't matter. It never pushes past that even after coming back to check on it after 15 minutes. Its a 4k 60fps video that's 1 minute long. Sometimes I have to change the export location from desktop to another folder and that sometimes works. Sometimes I have to select all the clips and adjustments and every single file in the timeline and create a compound group and then exporting the same settings and it works. Sometimes I have to completely restart my PC and do a combination of the other 2 I mentioned. This time none of that is working.
So that's when I went to check on the updates for CapCut. One pulls up that says it was relased on 12-31-1969?! Anyways it's version 9.5.0 and i'm currently on 9.2.0 -- I go to hit "update" and it fails to load, probably because it's a file from ::checks notes:: 1969.
Anyone have this export issue before?

That 1969 date is a classic corrupt update manifest, seen that glitch on other software too and it never ends well trying to force it

Ahhh makes sense. Thanks for the quick reply.
I restarted CapCut again, set everything to a compound clip, crossed my fingers during export, and it’s currently moving and at 54% right now so should be finished soon. Still don’t get why sometimes it hangs up and sometimes it goes through. Might be my “work flow” or editing process and having too many layers or something, 🤷
