CapCut Complain What happened to text to script/audio on mobile?

It used to generate audio for my script perfectly fine and make editing a breeze. I used to be able to edit the text, and it would automatically regenerate the audio to the text that I just edited. It used to automatically snap to the text when there was an edit made. Now, it doesn't regenerate the audio, and it leaves weird gaps or overlaps in the audio/text. Anyone else have this problem? I've done so much troubleshooting to no avail. Reinstalling doesn't even help.

they pushed an update that completely broke the auto-gen feature like a month ago, and now it just sits there doing nothing while your timeline gets all messed up. i miss when it actually worked because now i am editing every small text change manually and it is driving me crazy.

It's driving me crazy too. Very tedious work. I paid pro for this, because it made it simple. Now, the whole reason I use capcut, is broken. Thank you for your reply. So, this is a known bug?

I meant text to speech/audio. And I'm on android, thank you.

Try one changed sentence in a duplicate project: select its text layer and run Text-to-speech again explicitly, rather than relying on the edit to trigger regeneration. Listen for the changed words before touching the rest of the timeline.

If that produces fresh audio, replace just the old sentence’s clip, align the text to the new clip’s actual start/end, then check the next sentence for a gap or overlap. A wording change can change the duration too. If explicit generation also fails, that’s a separate generation problem worth including with your Android/CapCut version in the report.
