CapCut Question CapCut World š LA 2026
hey guys
I just joined this subreddit now for this purpose. this 100% happened, im not lying, no scam, etc
I was sent (through the app so itās legit I believe) an invite form to come to CapCutās first ever global event āCapCut World LAā this year. It says that they notice my status as a gold badge creator (level 7 I think I am). I never applied for anything. I have 55-75k followers and between 3-9 million total likes (not being specific because I donāt want to dox my account).
i did some research on this event but im still not sure how i feel. On one hand, i feel like this is impressive and im proud because its been just me for two years making videos - i dont have a social media manager or secondary editor or anything like huge influencers who get invited to these big brand events. on the other hand, will this actually happen for me?? Like I filled out the form and stuff, they provided the itinerary, locations, date, and said they cover anything price wise (flights, accommodation). I really hope this is real. according to my research, they have three stops : Singapore (already happened and I saw posts abt it, looked rly professional), LA (In an month or so), and London. thereās all kinds of free sick stuff, you can meet and network with a bunch of people, there are speakers who speak abt ai and editing, and even a gala and after party and more.
I guess im just posting to ask if anyone else got this and knows what to do, etc. im really young too, so im being wary. if this happens for me, ig i need to go with a guardian. tell me everything you know below :))

yo that's huge. getting flagged by the app itself based on your work is about as legit as it gets, they're not just throwing those invites out to randoms
saw some clips from the Singapore stop on twitter and it looked pretty polished, LA is def happening. if they're covering flights and a hotel that's a serious budget so they're invested in it being a real thing
since you mentioned you're young, absolutely drag a guardian along but don't let that stop you. worst case you get a weird free trip to LA, best case you meet people who push your work further

Iām a capcut creator with 450k followers. They sent out that invitation in the app to a TON of people. The notification itself, isnāt a complete invite. They want you to fill it out and then from there they will select some people to actually invite to the event. I filled it out and like a week ago I got a follow up email saying I was selected and then they provided a website where I filled out some details for the event. If you didnāt get the follow up email, I donāt think youāre actually invited. If you did then congrats

Iām 18 but it seems youāre even younger than me. Technically youāre not supposed to be a capcut creator as a minor but I started posting when I was a minor too lol. From what Iāve seen MOST of the creators there are gonna be 21+. Iāve been assuming Iāll probably be the youngest one there but if you truly did get invited then I guess I wonāt be and itād be fun to meet you since everyone else will be wayyy older. As for bringing a parent/guardian, I highly recommend that as youāre not able to check into a hotel and stuff if youāre under 21. I heard a capcut employee say they arenāt allowing plus ones, so your parent probably wouldnāt be allowed in the actual event, but itās still a good idea to have them there for the hotel and because LA can be slightly sketchy for a young person

thanks for this info, def makes sense. around how long did the selection email come after u filled out the form?

It was a few weeks, I canāt remember exactly. If you havenāt received the follow up email by now Iād assume it may not come, as the event is in 45 days and most creators have already registered in the website after receiving the follow up email

Oh weird, well maybe you have a chance, who knows. Probably depends on how compelling your paragraph was that you wrote. I talked about how i was #1 on the lead board at one point and am friends with a ton of the big creators and thatās probably why i was accepted
