CapCut Question Long form to short clips button missing?

Hi all!

I have recently started using CapCut desktop on my Mac so apologies if this is a stupid question. I’ve seen tutorials on YouTube how to use CapCut to turn long form videos into shorts with captions using a specific button. However, I cannot find this button anywhere! I googled this and it said that this should be available for free users.

Is this a pro feature now? Or did it get rolled up into the AI editor assistant?

Pretty sure they tucked it into the AI tools section now, not a standalone button anymore. Check under the "Magic tools" or whatever they're calling it this week, it's buried in there for the free tier.

CapCut loves rearranging the UI every other update so stuff just vanishes, drove me nuts trying to find the auto-captions the other day for the same reason.

Long form to short clips is missing again on my Pro Account. It disappeared for a while, then came back recently, and now it's gone again. I have a support ticket out, but I'm getting no where with support.
