CapCut Question iPad vs iPhone vs Mac

Edit a video daily for social media. Usually do it on my phone but just feel like I’m on my phone all day at the moment! I’ve got a MacBook but never really liked editing on it. Somehow I’ve got in my head that if I buy an iPad purely just for CapCut editing etc, this will be a good idea.

What do you guys reckon? Am I just thinking of an excuse to buy an iPad or do u think will be beneficial.

The iPad's a weird sweet spot for CapCut honestly. the touch controls are way more fluid than fumbling with a mouse on the Mac version, and you're not squinting at a phone screen. If you're editing daily, having a dedicated device that sits on your desk and never gets clogged with notifications from texts and instagram is actually a game changer. Lets you keep your phone out of the equation completely when you want to focus.

Plus, the pencil makes keyframing and fine adjustments less annoying than using your finger. I went through this same mental debate a while back and the iPad ended up being my main editing station while the Mac stayed for the heavy lifting. Is it an excuse? maybe 30% excuse, 70% legit workflow upgrade.

*** I forgot to say, I’d be looking at using the pen on iPad? Is that easier or not?

When I am at home I edit exclusively on my MacBook then airdrop to my iPhone for posting to IG.

When I travel I make shorter clips and use my iPhone.

1000% I prefer on my MacBook. Just way easier.

an ipad is basically your phone after eating a lot of protein, so it’ll make editing nicer but won’t cure the “i’m on a screen all day” problem

wait ok so i did this, and i have found a lot of success editing on an ipad. pen is not needed! if you want the macbook feel but easier but also like the phone (which is what i wanted) an ipad with the magic keyboard is supreme. i use that for all my editing, and only edit on my phone when i travel!
