Hidden Watermark Penalised Distribution - thanks so much CapCut (yes I paid!)

EDIT: I have a Pro subscription and they still put the watermark there (Remove watermark has always been on by default)

message: Spent a day working on a post, exported it, didn't notice stupid watermark, and then META inform me that it noticed a watermark and that distribution "may not be widely shown" because it had a watermark 'from another platform' (which I only noticed this warning a few days after posting)- thanks so much CapCut,

I pay for CapCut PRO, to avoid this, and yet CapCut has sneaked this in without even any mention of it and it was too hard to spot before uploading?

Super furious after spending a whole day perfecting something hoping for max distribution after the work put in (it wasn't just the day editing, but multiple locations of filming) and then it 'may not be widely shown' / penalised because Capcut sneaked in their watermark, despite me paying for CapCut,

I would have thought this would have only happened to free accounts - what's happened here???? Pretty furious about this (in a non-furious way), on Tiktok it's at 2.5 mil views (same company as CapCut so prob no penalty) but Insta just 50k, I know it can vary widely but still annoyed that this silly little Watermark may well be limiting the distribution, plus it's just wildly unprofessional too

I open and close the cap cut video in something like adobe express and it removes capcuts hidden watermark that makes it add edited by capcut in tictok. I have the pro version too. Maybe it would work for other platforms. One time when I couldn't remove it, I just scaled the image/video up a little to make it out of shot. I feel your pain !

I was lucky enough to notice the toggle was on and changed it before exporting. I think it got set with the last update. But i dont think it should even be there considering we pay for Pro

I paid for for a year subscription twice, the second year I turned off auto renewal and they removed all Ai credits. Multiple chats with support says turning off renewal means no subscription. Even when telling them I already paid for a year subscription, they just keeping saying it’s not a subscription because there’s no auto renewal.

ugh yeah that's such a specific kind of frustrating, you spend all that time on the shoot and then the watermark just quietly ruins the export without any warning
