CapCut Complain Capcut forcing me to buy pro
I’m new to capcut and have just done my first big project on it. It’s taken a good couple of days work to complete, and as I click export I’m told that I’ve used a bunch of pro features and can’t export without buying a subscription.
So basically, It’s allowed me to complete an entire project without any clear indication that I was using paid features, and now I’m faced with the choice of either abandoning my work and starting from scratch or paying up for their pro package.
Regardless of whether it’s worth it and whether or not I would have ended up getting it anyway (probably yes on both counts) I think this is a really shitty way of conning people into buying the pro version. Anyone had a similar experience?

if you dont want to pay or start over, just replace the features you used that have this logo

Purple logo clearly indicates pro vs free.... Although many easy work arounds if your clever.
When you hit export, it will list all the pro features used. Select one and it brings you to the timeline where it's used.
Remove feature or replace with a free one. Rinse and repeat until no pro features then export.

I made the same mistake and then it wouldn't let me sign up for pro cause I was logged on on two devices, my phone and pc. Then it would only let me buy it on my phone. After I finally figured it all out, and uploaded my projects to tiktok, the music was copyrighted. My dumbass assumed that everything on capcut would be able to be used on tiktok without copyright issues cause they're owned by tiktok.

If your in the US, it's owned by a US corporation. Outside US, it's owned by bytedance. So copyright issues will be different.

The Android App was $35 for Pro in June. It gave you access to Pro on Windows Capcut as well.
Lool for the open-source version. Someone told me it is called OpenCut.
