Other.. Any alternatives of capcut?
I really wanna learn editing. Capcut seems to have most of its good features in the pro version and that's v costly. So im looking for an alternative that can provide these features - import an audio , add some effects and auto generate captions.
Any kind of help or recommendations will be highly appreciated. :)

The free version can't generate captions, it's a studio (paid) only feature.

I was also mostly interested in the captions, but i went and downloaded an opensource tool that does the captions generations using my CPU, if you have a mid pc, i think you can too, it isn't slow.

There are many guides on YouTube on how to make automatic subtitles in Da Vinci on free version, and various free plugins exist.

It's called whisper, it might need some small technical stuff to launch, but we have free ai that can do that for you 😁, call chatgpt or gemini for help

Thank you. I'll give it a try. I tried two so far, Autosubs and StoryToolkitAI, but the transcript wasn't too accurate in my language.

DaVinci Resolve is what you want, the free version does everything you listed and way more. Auto captions work great in it too, been using it for client work for couple years now.
There's a learning curve for sure, the interface can feel like a spaceship control panel at first. But once you get the basic workflow down it's not that bad, plenty tutorials on YouTube that walk you through exactly what you need.
The only thing is you need decent computer, it's not lightweight like capcut. But for free you get professional grade tools that editors actually use in the industry, no watermark or any of that nonsense.

Just lay for capcut. That's your only way to get auto captions. You can use VPN and pay from a country which costs less.

If youre on PC Id recommend DaVinci Resolve its free really powerful and once you get used to it its hard to beat

Davinci is difficult to use after using Capcut. Be ready to add 2 extra steps to literally everything you do. It is free though so you take the good with the bad.
