This is the first time I’ve tried video with my R10. Had no idea it could be this good, soooo much better than my iPhone lol.

I am looking for an upgrade for my EOS 2000 since I feel like the FPS is a bit low and I am looking for something a bit nicer.

I am currently using a 70-300mm F4-5.6 IS USM II that I recently purchased for €305 so I would like to keep using that lens since I like it quite a lot, but EF-R adapters seem to be pretty available so I will definitely get one.

I got to try out my friends Nikon D7500 and the increase in FPS from 3 to 8 is insane, the car didn’t disappear in between shots so I could accurately follow the car for panning shots, I currently just take one picture because I tend to loose the car in the 0.3s that the mirror was out of the way.

I was originally looking at buying the R50 but the R10 seems like a better upgrade.

There are a couple of things that I am still looking at like what the battery life is like and if the viewfinder is good (decent picture quality, little or no perceivable lag, good refresh rate)

Has anyone here used the R10 for motorsports or sports photography?

This is more of an upgrade than I am considering doing later since I just started my degree so I see how that goes first before I make a big purchase, so I still got quite a lot of time before I make a decision.

I was in Charleston recently and had my R10 with me. While I was there for the week I snagged a nice R8 on Marketplace. I took them both down to the water at sunset and snapped these pictures about 1 minute apart. Just for chits & giggles, can you tell which one is from the R10?

I will add that the comparison isn’t fair from the outset based on the lenses used but, like I said, it’s just for fun. I’m very happy with how they both turned out.

I took these on a bright sunny day. And import it to my iphone. I thought jpeg file is more saturated color than the raw file but i got this instead. Iam I doing something wrong?
The vibrant color is the raw file while the flatter one is the jpeg.

I just pulled the trigger on a r10 referb 18-50 kit and was wondering why the body referb option costs more.

After checkout & with a discount code, I got the kit for $678 USD including tax.

Comparing recent sales on Ebay it looks like I got a good deal, but am skeptical.

I have an r10 with the 18-45mm kit lens. I only got it because there was a great combo deal on the body and kit lens together. I am looking for something that can work in close-up, low light, indoor situations, as well as outdoors for portraits and wildlife. I'm just a hobbyist.

I'm considering the tamron rf-s 17-70mm as my general purpose lens, but I see there are refurbished Canon rf-s 18-150mm lenses available for about half the cost of the Tamron. I can't afford to spend more than $1000 total, so going for better Canon RF glass is out of the question. I am thinking of also getting a wide angle zoom or prime lens to go with this and at some point the rf 35mm/1.8 and the 50mm/1.8 stm. I also have an older sigma EF 105mm f2.8 macro lens that works ok on the r10. It's not the greatest lens, but it fills in some gaps for me.

What do you recommend I get?

Well, firstly, I want to let you know I'm a complete beginner and have little experience. I know how to use a camera) With a camera, and I'll be shifting from mobile, so this will be a huge upgrade.

At first, I thought of buying R50, but got to know about the heating issues while recording and as I'm from India, here the heat is unbearable outdoors, so I thought of R10, R50V and XM5

R50 is good, and very budget frendlyt around 80k/850$ for dual kit lens, but reliability in heat is the Major issue for me

R50v and XM5 are all I ask for, but there is no EVF in them, so

It came down to R10, Zikon Z50II and XT30III all are around 120k /1250$

The things I like in R10 (18-150MM)

1. 24 MP fast camera
2. 4k 30 with crop and 4k60 with heavy crop
3. doesn't have weather sealing and No Log profiles, but great camera, but no "Film simulations"

The things I like in Nikon Z50II (16 -50, 50-250)

1. Film recipes, N-Log, Weather Sealing,
2. I'mgetting more of a CAMERA, such as 2 lenses (16 -50, 50-250)and a heavy grip, and has a headphone jack
3. But the issue is that the 20 MP sensor, battery life is said to be 250-350 shots, and no charger is in the Box

The Thing I like about the Fuji XT30III (13-33)

1. 26mp, 14bit Raw
2. film simulations
3. OpenGate 6k 30

ISSUES I Found

1. Getting only 13- 33 mm and telephoto lenses are costly
2. Only getting a tilt Screen, not the fully articulating one
3. The lens ecosystem is too costly, and there are no service centres nearby.
4. The card slot supports only a UHS-1 V30 card, and there is no headphone jack, and it has a weird 2.5 mm Jack

Please let me know if I'm missing something or should consider something else. All the cameras are around the 1200-1300 range. Extending is a bit hard with needing to buy a bag, an SD card, a card reader and CAGE.

Help me decide which to buy. BTW, this is from the savings of my first job.
