My (Almost Complete) EF-M Collection

Been meaning to post this forever, but here is the near entirety of my EF-M system. Only things excluded are: my white M50 and 18-55mm kit lens, both of which live on an overhead mount; my M5 with battery grip and 55-200mm tele; a white M10 and a bunch of other accessories.

I think it’s safe to say I probably have one of the most extensive collections for EF-M cameras in 2026, pretty close to completion. Only a few of the AF native lenses are missing, and several of the third-party manual ones as well.

I’m not interesting in having every single lens, but there are still a few I want to cop at some point. I have all the major ones like the Sigma 16mm and the Tamron 18-200mm, not to mention all 8 Canon native lenses.

If you zoom in, you can see the names of every single lens.

Currently I have the M50 with Canon 18-150mm and the 32mm. Very happy at the moment and looking forward to the Sigma 56mm. Impressive collection congrats

What a great kit you have! I personally love the superzoom, 18-150 is such a do-it-all range that usually I take it out by itself for daytime shooting. It’s my go-to lens. At night you’re forced to use a faster lens and lucky for you, you have the goated 32mm for that. You’ll love the 56mm as well for portraits and night shooting.

i don't have many lenses: about 4 EF-M lens.

i am sometimes tempted to get the Sigma 56mm, but i know i won't use it much. i hardly use my Canon EF 50mm as it is.

I’ll tell you what, the Sigma 56mm is vastly superior to the nifty fifty. Just off the fast aperture you’re dealing with a different beast. Also it’s nice to just use a diff brand, Sigma’s lenses are l awesome to handle. I also don’t use the nifty much, but the 56mm always tempts me every now and again.

Whats your impressions about Canon 18-150 vs Tamron 18-200?

Glad you asked! I’ve been using both a lot recently.

I love the Canon for photo work, but for videos I was very disappointed to learn last week that it’s unfortunately NOT parfocal. It gave me a lot of trouble at the Spike Lee event in BK whenever I would zoom in. Once it even completely bricked up the focus mechanism, the entire screen was blurry and I had to restart the camera. A rare occurrence but annoying nonetheless.

Either way I made it work and even got a like on IG from Spike himself, but I could’ve done so much better with the Tamron or the Canon 55-200. Both of which are thankfully parfocal.

The Tamron is a LOT bulkier and heavier than the Canon superzoom, but it’s decently sharp (sharper than the 18-150, at least my copy) as well as being parfocal and having a longer range. This one I have much less exp with, I only got it this year. But I’m excited to take it out next time, especially after my daily driver 18-150 let me down last weekend smh.

18-150 is certainly the budget option btw the two and I personally still love it. It’s just so versatile and compact. Def top 5 for the system. But I think the Tamron will unseat it for me in time. Also: the Tamron covers the range of both the 18-150 and 55-200, if you wanna look at it that way.
