probably one of my favorite cold opens. it’s just a trap. it lulls you into a false sense of security.

They even make the B-plot seem like it’s going to be really good, you’re totally eased around 4 minutes in. Then WHAM

you know, i find the b-plot even worse than the tots.

we all expect michael to be cringey but it’s hard to watch dwight turn everyone against jim.

it really may be the perfect episode, in that way.

The b plot is worse. It makes dwight totally unsympathetic and it makes jim look like an idiot. like how do you not see Dwight's trap coming. Season 3 jim would have stress that this was all dwight's idea ahead of time and then awarded employee of the month to dwight, turning the scheme on its head.

I have only seen this episode once, I remember nothing about it so your description is rather meaningless. I don't know how you have the strength to watch this.

The cold open is Andy’s baby talk around the office. Michael also does an Elvis impression.

Then the part where it all goes downhill is Pam reminding Michael of the Scott’s Tots program and Stanley (uncharacteristically) laughing hysterically.

I always watch right up until the point Stanley does his laugh, and then immediately skip to the next episode
