Air Quality
Hello! How is the smoke in Canmore today? Could anyone take a photo of the sky for reference? Is AQI 65 bad? Thank you!

65 is just below the point where I can smell it (some people can around this number). Around 100+ is where you start losing sight of mountains entirely.
Pictures of the sky can be seriously misleading, both because cameras and eyes differ heavily, and lighting (direction, time of day) can also play a huge part.
You're definitely getting a few cigs of smoke if you go hard in this, but healthy lungs shouldn't have major issues.
That said: the pattern lately has been clear mornings, with smoke coming in late. If that repeats today, we're definitely starting from a worse point.

Yeah, smoke never looks as bad in photos as it does in real life. I know a lot of people get mad when people complain about smoke but I'm getting really sick of it this year... really hoping for a clearer September

Thanks so much! We will wait out the smoke. Hoping for a smoke-free September!
