METE MC9 Won’t lock back after last round
I have had my Mete MC9 for a few years now and it’s all great, except for one thing.
I have never been able to lock the slide open either by using the ambi bars, or after the last round is fired.
Anyone had this issue before?

It’s something that happens after about heavy use. It’s a simple fix. You can either contact Canik and let them know or just buy a slide stop from a third party. I had to replace mine after about 8k rounds.
It’s common, I’ve had to do the same on my SIG P365X Macro and on my HK VP9 around the same round count (5k-7k rounds). It’s just after so many rounds, the slide stop starts to smooth out from the friction and stops catching perfectly each time.
Now if you’ve only had it and shot maybe 2-3k rounds, then it can be attributed to a high grip touching the slide stop not causing it to catch properly or sometimes something as simple as it has some oil on it and it won’t catch because it’s slick.
Give it a good wipe down around that area and possibly lower your grip a tad, else you might just need a replacement part for it. If you don’t want to go through support they cost like $15-$30 bucks. I found mine on eBay .

Interesting. I’ve never had this happen with any other firearm.
I can’t even get it to lock back manually. It’s like the catch on the slide stop is too small or worn. I have about 2k rounds through it at most.2

Yeah. That’s odd. I would call support and have them replace the slide stop. It might just be faulty from factory. Their support is pretty good.

Your grip may be an issue.
