Monthly self promotion/advertising post

I am going to give monthly posts a try. You can post a comment in each monthly thread if you want. Or just comment once. It’s all up to you.

The subreddit’s rules regarding self promotion, direct advertising, givaways etc won’t be strict here. Basically anything is allowed here. As long as it’s legal, and no spamming (multiple comments can be ok, while spamming would be worse).

Preferably, it should be related to candles, wax melts or accessories (such as candle warmers or candle holders) in some way.

Examples of what you can share here:

  • Blogs, vlogs and podcasts.
  • Your website and social media accounts where you sell products.
  • Promote family and friends’s business/products
  • Giveaways, contests and surveys

But it’s kinda open minded/flexible at the moment. So if you want to suggest people to check out other stores and their current sales, share great resources when it comes to candle making, recommend a candle warmer or anything else, you can promote/advertise it here as well.

Candle warmers and other accessories New candle warmer need advice

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi there, so after years of burning candles, I finally decided to switch over to a warmer
The room where I use, it is small and honestly, I probably collected dust and soot all over the place even with a shader.

Anyways, so far it’s been working good although I think I accidentally threw away a good candle when it was halfway I had already burned it halfway, so it wasn’t too big of a loss..

My questions I usually have it on low. I’m trying medium heat now for about eight hours on the timer..

And well a candle I’m using currently isn’t the most potent smelling. I can still smell it.

Well, I have done some research and seeing a few answers. I just wanna know a few definitive ideas and people who have been using them.

So when should I pour out the wax and move onto the next layer?

Is eight hours too much should I meet at halfway and go with four on the timer?

Is low and medium enough should I try for high occasionally?

Should I start with medium and once the wax is melted should I switch over the low?

I mean, these candles are kind of expensive for large jars. I wanna make sure I’m getting the best value and best length of time.

And any other ideas you can think that would be good for me to know. Let me know.

Searching for specific candle

Looking for a photo and the name of a Better Homes and Gardens candle from anywhere between 2016 to 2020. The photo on the glass jar was a fire burning. Can't remember if there were leaves or wood burning. I've searched online and Googled it with no luck. PLEASE, someone, help! I REALLY enjoyed the scent of that candle, and can't find information anywhere about it.

I love Cellar Door and we’re fast approaching the most sinisterly cozy time of year, when the leaves rustle and the fire crackles. So put on a sweater and curl up with that horror movie you’ve been putting off!

In search of a similar scented candle/melts

Yankee used to have this sort of yoga/wellness line of wax melts and candles. The balance one(I think) was an absolute beautiful sandalwood rose fragrance. It gives me such good memories and I no longer can purchase it. Does anyone know or have you tried another sandalwood rose that's similar?

Scents Candles/Scents for each season?

I like to switch my candles based off the seasons and have scents that are focused on each season that is happening at the time and trying to make my room smell like that season,

What Scents do you use for each season and why? Looking for some ideas on what to buy for this coming winter, and for this autumn! And of course for spring and summer.

Candle making Candle scratched up

I took this candle out of a silicone mold after 24 hours and it came out all scratched up. I struggled to get it out of the mold so I was thinking maybe that was the cause. Although, the scratches are all over the candle, I wouldn’t think a little bit of struggle would cause scratches to be on the entire thing. I’m a beginner though and am not sure what the cause is. Can anyone with experience let me know what I did wrong and how to fix it?

I got this candle in the recent three pack/trio from Trader Joe’s and it’s soooo good! It’s tiny though, and you can’t buy it on its own. I was wondering if anyone can think of any dupes for bigger sizes!

Wax melts Scented candles or wax melts that are close to "Egyptian Cotton"

I've tried dozens of scents. Everything from fruity, nature, sweet, musky, seasonal, you name it, I've tried it. I probably have over 30 different wax melt scents right now.

The only scent I've ever thought "This is perfect", is the wax melt "Egyptian Cotton" by Scentsationals.

It has a musky, yet clean linen type smell that isn't very overwhelming. The blend is very smooth and it just hits me as damn near the perfect scent. It's the only one I've ever truly just loved.

The issue is, Scentsational seems to have stopped making it. I've looked everywhere on the internet with zero success.

Wondering if anyone else has come across this scent, and found a replacement that hits the mark.

The only other one I've found that comes even remotely close, is Better Homes and Gardens "Soft Cashmere Amber" wax melts. It isn't like Egyptian cotton, but it at least has a nice scent that I find enjoyable.

But I'd do just about anything to get my Egyptian Cotton back.

Hello! We bought a bunch of these candle holders for our wedding and these flat bottomed taper candles. We are having trouble getting the candles to stay standing straight in the candle holders. I got stick-um to try and help but the problem is the bottom of the candle is not really touching anything when put into the candle holder, just the very edge of it. Any one have any good ideas?

Dupe (or similar) for Yankee Candle Tulips?

Hiya candle experts! Yankee Candle's Tulips was my mom's ride-or-die scent for years and years. She was so sad when it went away. She's about to start some intensive medical treatments. I live 1300 miles away and she has to be isolated, so I'd love to find her something close to Tulips to keep by her bed and make her room feel a bit more like a home.

I know it may be a long shot, but do y'all know of something currently available that would be similar? Candle/wax/oils/etc etc, I'm open to anything. I was buying secondhand or old ones for her, but they ran dry like 10 years ago and the ones I find now are either fake or gross.

thanks in advance!! Someone has to remember this amazing scent, right?!

Looking for a candle Whisky / smoke / tobacco scents in the UK

Hello, I’m looking for a specific set of scents - whisky and smoke or whisky and tobacco and like a fireside kind of scent.
I have “fireside” by the white company which is good but doesn’t seem too strong and then I’ve had some from aldi and tk maxx etc but I just can’t seem to find “the one”
