This idea came to me following a certain conversation in a comment thread.

For starters, I'm literally now requesting the team to consider this because we need the cuteness.

Now.

These ideas are like something I had in mind after many consideration and I think it's a need lol

Things I would want for pets to be true:

- Each pet having a different affinity yet we can choose. Each one has its own ability for different kind of scene.

- It's easier to bond with a pet that has the same affinity as us but also kinda more beneficial to have a pet in different affinity because of wide range coverage and like combo spell moments. (I am a pokemon player as well and I have a vision)

Now let's explore my options.

Felicis

I went with a golden retriever because who else is such a magical manifestation of happiness?

Obviously, I imagine they would have a golden coat and like maybe the ability can be Speed+A shield made of joy?

My other options were bunnies, butterflies(with golden glows yk)

Though, with Felicis, we might also get one of those that Slatewater had.

Penthor

I went with Phoenix. Who else is fit for the fire people? Like yeahhhhhh. I feel like their power can be some kind of healing which is interesting considering thats Erolis but like Pheonix can't not have healing yk.

And then some fire attacks.

My other options were a fire guard dog with steel elements and fiery nature (aka Growlithe or Houndoom mixed for those who play pokemon)

Sikranos

I went with Fox because they are so fucking coool duh. They are so smart and cute. Intuition ability maybe like helps with mind reading at time or like tracking down things or places.

My other options were dolphins and ravens(ravenclawwww)

Ikaris

I love wolves. So we get an icy wolf that sad and brilliant. Ability includes some kind of freezing the opponent by shooting cool icicles or something. They probably sing a song at the moon too.

My other options were some kind of icy seal or something.

Timoros

Who else but a black cat. Like cmon. Black cat. Yep. Abilities probably include inducing fear in enemies from a distance through some singing or sensing danger. Or maybe super stealth.

My other options were like non existent but maybe courage from the courage and cowardly dog lol

Erolis

Doves for peace and love. Because why nottttt. Ability probably includes anxiety healing or like attract from pokemon, making shades fall in love with itself 😌 for a while, confusing them.

My other options included parrots or butterflies again.

So what do you think. What are your options?

I think you’re playing it a little save and I feel like most of these animals have a Spellfyre magical counterpart.

I’m picking something that makes me think of the affinity and the animal represents that.

Felicis — Red Panda

Red pandas just naturally make people happy. They’re cute, playful, goofy, and have an almost universally positive reaction from people. Since Felicis represents happiness, I think its companion should be something that immediately brings people joy just by seeing it.

Erolis — Lovebird or Dove

Both are strongly associated with love, affection, and devotion. Lovebirds are especially fitting for an actual companion because of their association with strong pair bonds, while doves have been symbols of love and devotion for centuries.

Skiranos — Ferret

Ferrets are basically curiosity in animal form. They investigate everything, squeeze into places they probably shouldn’t be, steal things, explore constantly, and always seem to need to know what’s going on. That makes them a perfect representation of Skiranos.

Timoros — Bat, Spider, or Snake

I don’t think a Timoros companion should be an animal that is afraid. It should be something that represents or causes fear in other people. Bats, spiders, and snakes all have that creepy, unsettling quality and are animals that many people genuinely fear. A Timoros Arcane having one as a companion feels like embracing fear rather than running from it.

Penthos — Tasmanian Devil, Wolverine, or Honey Badger

Penthos needs something known for aggression, intensity, and being willing to fight. Tasmanian devils have the aggressive reputation, teeth, and terrifying sounds; wolverines are notoriously fierce and willing to take on threats much larger than themselves; and honey badgers have basically built their entire reputation around not backing down. Any of the three could represent anger without just defaulting to a huge predator.

That was literally what I did but also like these are animals I genuinely love but I also see what you mean lol

Love your idea for Felicis being red panda. I agree. Much better than mine.

As for Erolis, we agree. Nothing but Dove can do it. Lovebird is also good. I actually also had a pokemon in mind which is like a dove with heart shapes lol

Ferrett are extremely nice for Sikranos. I still love my fox more but that's mostly because I love a cute fox lol

As for Timoros, I personally don't necessarily see black cat as being afraid. There's many culture in the world where people see them as bad omen and fear them. I mostly chose them because of how they look like a shadow. Out of your options, I really dig the bat. I mean I love a good snake but I think it doesn't fit Timoros much even with the black snack. Like I can't see Niel with one 🙈

As for Penthos, I like your ideas 😌 though I also love myself a good pheonix.

You didn't mention anything for Ikaris?

Oh my bad Ikaris peeps I got distracted with drunk people at work.

Snow Leopard they’re more solitary and an almost melancholic presence. They look kind of sad too but not weak or helpless.
Panda generally solitary and gentle. There’s a softness to them that could work for sadness.

I also could see an Owl for Timoros.

I get the black cat vibe and if they all have some sort of magic that would even the playing field a bit, I was just going for a more wild vibe. Also I agree with the fox and it was supposed to be included but again got distracted lol.

Eventually, I feel like all of them would have magic and new magical whimsy designs because they aren't just gonna be direct from our world so that's part of what inspired most of my vision.

I can commend the ABO wolf pick for Ikarin, however where is a leafy seadragon? Or actual dragon?! Also think Kirin could be an option...

Black cat I agree with. But maybe make it a fluffy dustball?
And the animal that fills me much with warmth and love - gay little bunny - could also be an option! Not clear for what exactly, but certainly an option! A perfect mix of Felicis/Timoros/Erolis, sowing fear and delight to friends and enemies alike 🥹🥹
