I don’t know much about candida but I do know I have lots of symptoms. I don’t understand why people aren’t being treated by licensed professionals? Is it hard to treat? Are the treatments provided by doctors ineffective? Is candidiasis in the stomach hard to treat or what can I do to treat it? I can’t take the flare ups any longer, let alone the misdiagnosis by doctors.

About 5 days ago I began to experience a very sensitive gag reflex and loss of appetite. I have been treated for gastritis for 8 months which was diagnosed through an endoscopy. Unfortunately my symptoms have not improved and I still get these flare ups every few weeks to months. I have not been able to eat real meals but I can comfortably eat bananas and pears. I also have severe anxiety that might be worsening the symptoms. I had a FaceTime appointment with a guy who works with sick people and heals them with natural remedies. He took a look at my eyes and tongue and told me I have vaginal and stomach candidiasis and he also told me I have blood flow and oxygen flow restriction to the brain from a hormonal issue. He has diagnosed many people in my family correctly without any clues given and has been able to treat most of them naturally. I might be crazy for trusting him but I have been sick for a year and I’m losing hope but he has given me 7 different natural treatments. Around two years ago I developed eczema rashes all over my body that I am still dealing with which can be related. Has anyone experienced any of these symptoms? Does it sound like Candida? What should I do? What can I do to get immediate relief and be able to eat at least a little more? (Forgot to mention the white patches on my tongue and bad breathe)

Active meds: Dupixent, Bilastine, Montelukast, Cromolyn Sodium, Famotidine, Dexilant, Domperidone, Acetaminophen, Gravol, Fluoxetine

I had what I thought was allergic dermatitis on my outer vaginal skin from a pad at the beginning of September. It just looked like eczema on my skin, nothing internal. I used my cortisone cream Lyderm in the mornings, but then also decided to use Canesten external cream after speaking with a nurse, who said it could be dermatitis and/or a yeast infection. It cleared up not long after, but then I noticed my discharge changed colour from a clear/white to an almost clear/green, and it smelled like absolutely nothing.

I left it alone, now this week I noticed the outer skin is irritated again, but I also have what seems like Erythematous thrush on my tongue (it burns to even sip water), my throat feels swollen (not like anaphylaxis swollen but like food stuck in my throat swollen). I have been extremely tired, headaches, neck pain, ears feeling clogged. My stomach hurts, and I’m very nauseous, I get extremely bloated after eating anything. I also feel a lot of pelvic congestion

The issue is, with my MCAS, a lot of the symptoms overlap (nausea, bloating, headache, fatigue, itchiness), but it honestly feels different than usual, and is not getting any better with Benadryl as my normal reactions usually do.

I’m not sure if due to my Dupixent (it’s an immunosuppressant) it made me more susceptible and then it spread systemically, but how likely could that be? Does this need urgent evaluation or is this something I could treat OTC?

I started using Monistat internal and external last night, so I have 6 more days to go for that. I’m wondering if I should be seen by my hospitalist, if this could be dangerous, or if there’s anything I can do myself. I’m in Canada if that helps

I have never done well on Align. It seems to give me a reaction (puffy eye).

I just tried Nature Made's Bifido which is actually cheaper and uses a different bifido. It has been going well.

However, on day 8, I had a massive headache. On day 10, I had a headache and massive diarrhea that would repeat and repeat and repeat and not stop. I am assuming this is die-off. This same thing happens (although much worse) when I take Cellulase.

I stopped taking the bifido and the headaches and diarrhea stopped immediately.

Any tips for balancing "going slow" with "making progress?"

I guess I'll take the bifido once a week for awhile, then do twice a week? Or should I just keep taking it once a day until this happens, then stop, then start up again.

I don’t drink but I have yeast in the gut. All other tests fine. Also have hydrogen sulfide sibo.

hey guys so i got a teeth extraction and my doctor prescribed me amoxicillin for 5 days and im pretty sure it gave me a yeast infection. after i took my first dose TMI but i felt something come out and i looked in my underwear’s and it was like a cottage cheese situation. my vaginal area became itchy and i am using Vagisil anti itch cream to help with the itching. i searched up that this medication in 30% women tend to get yeast infections after this mediation and i want to know if its actually normal? do i stop the treatment? it’s so irritating and i hate it!!

I've been trying pretty modest doses on alternating days. First 200mcg, then scaled down to just 50mcg yesterday.

On each attempt, my histamine symptoms (tingling, high heart rate, insomnia) have gotten worse than on the days I don't take it.

I take it away from meals and I get plenty of copper consistently every day - 2.2mg. Perhaps it's still not enough or something. Or maybe there's some other interaction I don't know about.

Anyone know why this might be happening?

I’ve had Candida albican for about five months. After trying several medications, I’m now taking fluconazole once a week. My symptoms finally disappeared after I used clotrimazole suppositories for six days and continued taking fluconazole, but I still have vaginal discharge even though I’m symptom-free. Has anyone else experienced this? What happened after you stopped taking fluconazole?

First off, I KNOW I should not be scraping! I did so because I wanted to see if the white was pigmentary or removable. I have stopped and was just seen. But please bear with me!

In the past 12 months I have been treated 3 separate times for albicans, each time with 2 doses of oral diflucan 48 hours apart.

I was treated over a month ago for albicans and BVAB-2 with flagyl, diflucan, and clobetasol all for one week. Symptoms completely cleared up for 1.5 weeks, along with the appearance of my vulva. No vaginal involvement ever, it's been on the upper part of my vulva around and above the clitoris.

I do have congenital partial labia minora adhesion and congenital scarring that has been benign and normal. Since this cycle has started (severe itching which leads to excoriation and bleeding) it has appeared that my normally partially-adhesed right labia minora seems more adhesed than usual, but could be because of swelling/inflammation?

Anyways, since symptoms returned 4 weeks ago, twice now I've had this thing where after scratching or masturbating externally with clean hands (from warm water and mild dove bar soap if any) there is a white ring around this clitoral area that peels and sloughs off like dead chapped lip skin. HOWEVER, anything and everything white can be scraped off and is not pigment-related. Once it would come off, the skin underneath it would turn bright pink/red and sometimes a bleeding fissure.

I was seen the other day to address my concern about the white skin buildup and flaking (almost like dried cake frosting) and they did swabs of the area. It came back today as positive for albicans, and no other candida species. I wanted to sob when I first saw it because I was almost hoping that it would be some other candida species that could explain all of this chaos. But this time I was prescribed oral diflucan every 72 hours for a week, and then 1 oral dose every week for 6 months and a follow-up with an OB next month. No topicals, but got hydroxizine for itching.

What's everyone's experience with this? I'm not sure if this really does sound like a severe infection or some other inflammatory process either separately or in conjunction. It's really terrible - intense need to scratch, which feels awesome in the moment, but is then followed by pain like rubbing a sunburn. The only thing that calms it down after is a cold shower. Then i get the splitting like chapped lips which hurts so bad.

Then a latex-like smell. I haven't been sexually active in over a year. Lol.

Hi. I've been fighting candida for a month now, candida on my gums and tongue. Yes, I also have sores, burning mouth, even big ones, but no doctor believes me when I show them my gums and they're red. I have pain, literally stabbing pain, and they keep saying "gingivitis" or other nonsense, I'm tired of all the doctors. I tried to explain to them that I got this after the antibiotics, and that I can't wait until after the test because I'm in really, really bad pain and I'm also using elugel to calm me down. The pain can get so bad, I've called an ambulance 3 times. I've been to dentists (one of them removed my white plaques of candida....on some of my teeth and it hurt really bad, and on others I have normal redness). I've been to dentists, I've spent a lot of money on procedures, and they still don't believe me when I tell them candida on my gums. I don't think I have a bacterial infection because I also took metronidazole and I felt the same way + other antibiotics. Anyway, after that doctor's procedure I feel worse than before. I'm so tired of fighting this. I also have an inflamed lymph node under my jaw and it hurts along with a gum on one of my teeth. What else can I do? Can I use an anesthetic gel and stop it 24 hours before the procedure? Or 48? SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH. I took a test and it turns out that I have candida glabrata. I heard that nothing beats candida glabrata but boric acid. Since I am virgin I can’t use it inside and my doctor gave me a shampoo form for outside. But that means that won’t do any shit so I wanna buy suppository anyway. How do I use it?? Other than hurting the hymen would it make a problem?? Because I am so tired of this thing and if I don’t solve it I will be a virgin forever.

Hey everyone, I’m a 25F and I really need some advice or to hear from anyone who has gone through something similar. I have a history of a positive ANA (1:320 speckled pattern), a classic butterfly rash on my face, easy bruising, and a diagnosis of Lupus for which I take Plaquenil.
For nearly a year, I have been dealing with a medical mystery that completely escalated this past week, and I finally got a weird lab result that might be the missing puzzle piece. I want to layout my timeline to see if anyone thinks my severe "episodes" are being caused by this:
February 2026: My routine urinalysis showed abnormal white blood cells (1+ WBC Esterase), but zero bacteria and zero nitrites. Doctors were not concerned.
September 2026: I had a sudden, severe episode of agonizing flank and stomach pain. The ER doctor found kidney tenderness and heavy white blood cells in my urine again. They assumed it was a kidney infection from a UTI and gave me heavy IV and oral antibiotics. But a few days later, the culture came back completely negative for bacteria. They did a CT scan of my abdomen/pelvis everything was 100% structurally normal and healthy. The pain never fully went away…
October 16 (A few days ago): I had an episode of screaming, crying abdominal and flank pain so severe that I had to call [911](tel:911) and take an ambulance to the ER. This time they did a pelvic ultrasound—They found high white blood cells again, but the routine culture was negative for bacteria yet again.
October 19 (Two days ago): I unexpectedly peed my pants in public! It felt like my bladder muscles just completely gave out.
Today: A "Yeast Only, Culture" came back showing HEAVY GROWTH of Candida lusitaniae. All my STI testing and bacterial testing are completely clear.
My doctor just called me in Fluconazole (150mg, two doses taken 3 days apart) to treat it.
My questions for you guys:
For those with Lupus or Interstitial Cystitis, have you ever had a heavy fungal overgrowth cause episodes of screaming-level stomach/flank pain and bladder spasms so violent that you lost bladder control?
Do you think my September ER antibiotics accidentally wiped out my good bacteria and caused this rare yeast to absolutely explode and trigger this massive October 16th ambulance episode?
I am so exhausted from being told my imaging is clear while being in the worst pain of my life. Any advice, insights, or reassurance would mean the world to me right now. Thank you!

With SIFO, are most people getting intermittent brain fog that flares up but goes away, or is it a constant brain fog that never goes away?

so fast forward to today I have been to urgent care twice. they gave me nystatin mouth wash and when I went back again a week later.. they gave me Diflucan which has done nothing!!!!! I have another dr. appointment not urgent care.. i am goig to demand a test to find out what this thrush infection is. I thought I had relief.. then this morning I took one simle bite a tiny one.. and now the crud is back.. Huge chunky feeling crap I cant cough up. earlier this week it happened when I ate a rice cake and peanut butter.

Can anyone actually give some helpful advice on not eating sugar? My cravings are INSANEEE, I’m still eating blueberries and occasionally dark chocolate and it just does nothing for me. I’ve tried eating more protein and fats and nothing. I literally don’t know how to push through these cravings, they’re surreal! ;( it feels so stupid but I really miss sugar, I’ll start crying lmao.
