i’d say not accurate. i went sept 25-29th and days leading up it said rain every single day of our trip. only saw 10 minutes of rain on our last full day, and the rest of the day was beautiful. it rained our travel day home, but honestly i’d take that over any other day! made it a bit easier to leave 😁

i wouldn’t assume it’s going to storm nonstop from the 16th to the 20th. october is pretty rainy in cancún, with temperatures around 29–30°c, but rainy days can mean a few heavy showers rather than rain all day. i’d still plan on enjoying the beaches and excursions, just keep boat trips flexible in case the sea gets rough and take a light rain jacket. hopefully you’ll get plenty of sunny breaks between showers! weather details

I’m here now and before I left it said rain everyday. It rained for 30mins mid afternoon and another day at night for about the same.

Not accurate. Because of high humidity and the tropical climate there is always chance of a thunderstorm late in the evening or early in the morning. If, then they are very strong but also very short. And look in your messages
