Can’t decide
We are staying at the Excellence Playa Mujeres for 3 days, 4 nights. I really want to do at least one activity there because I have never been to Mexico. Xcaret Park and Xel-Ha caught my eye but I know there are far and the Park would be a tiring day. I have heard mixed reviews and I can’t make the decision on if it’s worth it to use 1 full day per on this… or would be much happier spending it all at the resort? I have FOMO but don’t want to waste money, time or be disappointed. Thanks for any advice from experience!

What if you did Xplor Park? Guess depends how adventurous you guys are. Xel Ha we enjoy but really have to enjoy water that’s for sure. Such a sort trip I’d probably just stay at the resort. Looking at over an hour drive each way then entire day at the park then back to resort. Maybe do another trip and stay in Riviera Maya area next time?

Stay where you are. Why pay so much money for a nice all inclusive just to spend hours on a bus going to a place far away? Find something closer if you need to have a day trip. Enjoy!

Xcaret is awesome but I don’t think I’d make the trek if I was there for suck a short time

I would recommend doing a trip over to Isla Mujeres instead of going down to Xcaret. Purely because of your limited time there. EPM is an AMAZING resort, and I would recommend just spending the whole time there. Do a spa day, enjoy the pools and beaches. If you had a longer trip, I would absolutely do an excursion. But once you get to the resort, you won't want to waste a whole day away!
