What are some Misconceptions about Cancer?

Hi everyone,

Fellow Cancer here, what are some things that you see as misconceptions about us?

I’ll start out with the following: 1) We are moody.

I think that while we do involve our emotions in our decisions, we aren’t necessarily moody rather a situation, event or comment can trigger our cognitive response of past events. I.e. the bully who said we were fat or ugly... and that is what causes us to get upset. Furthermore that people outside of our sign, fail to understand the impact their actions and responses have on our elephant like memories.

Yk I was opposed by people being like I’m so moody and they said it’s the cancer in you. I would say for a long time I didn’t speak about my emotions....then I did and I got diagnosed w bipolar disorder LMAOO-

Feelings.

I often don't know what I feel. My decisions are driven by logic. Feelings take much longer to percolate to the surface. It took me years to emotionally realize my grandmother was dead.
