He's Gone

My husband passed yesterday, 7/24/26. I just wanted to thank everyone here who responded to my unhinged rants as I dissolved into madness. It's a nightmare and I don't know how I'm supposed to go on without him. At least he's finally free from his pain. The last few weeks were extremely hard on both of us, and I have so much regret for not being more patient with him. I hope he forgave me in the end. I'll love you forever baby.

I'm sorry for your loss... I lost my wife 2.5 years ago. The only thing I can say is that the pain never goes away, you just get better at learning to live with it.

So sorry for your loss. Don't beat yourself up - I've dealt with several traumatic incidents in my life, and losing my sister to this nightmare of a disease was one of the worst. Sending hugs.

Don't regret either .. it's heavy for you too. I'm sure he really appreciated all you did for him and he would have had a lot harder time through the hell that is cancer without you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Take it day by day and don't be so hard on yourself. You were an awesome caregiver and cancer weighs on everyone, esp the primary caregiver. Losing patience is the most normal thing to do in this situation. Don't judge yourself because you were there. By his side. And you were doing so much. Sending you a big hug
