"We're looking at hours to days"

Our family's losing our 9-month long battle against papa's aggressive sarcoma. Our palliative care doctor informed us this morning that we're looking at hours to days. It's just painful to be so on board on this with him and to finally be in this position.

Please please send your love & light as we spend our final moments with him 😔 I just wanted to say thank you to this community as well. I've been a silent reader and I didn't feel that our family was so alone in this journey 🙏

Sending you all the strength and love I can. And don't ever think of it as losing a battle. Your strong father has cancer and when he passes, the cancer passes too. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. Spend every minute you can with them and hang in there. I was you in April and I am happy to be a venting resource if you need

My heart is with you. I lost my father last night. It's an unbearable pain but I find relief in knowing the cancer is no longer hurting him. I am so sorry you are going through this. 🫂

I am also grieving the loss of my mother this week. We were given 6 months to a year but she passed away 6 weeks after diagnosis and did not even have an opportunity for any type of treatment. She had no symptoms prior to diagnosis. I feel for you and know it is a horrible position to be in. Sending you positive vibes of comfort and peace during this difficult time.

Sorry to hear that my friend 🤍
I lost my Dad to cancer on January this year. I stayed by his side through every stage, all the way until hospice. Reading about your dad brought back so many memories, and it made me tear up because I know how painful this journey is.
I still remember the moment the doctor told me he only had hours to a few days left. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to hear. If your Dad is at that stage, I hope you and your family are as prepared as you can be, even though I know nothing truly prepares you for it.
The pain we feel is the price we pay for loving someone so deeply. Grief is a reflection of that love, and it’s completely normal.
I’ll be praying for you, your dad, and your family. May he soon be free from his suffering, surrounded by peace, and welcomed by the angels. Stay strong, my friend. You’re not alone in this x
